Very old and very nice Basilica of Mother Mary. Located at just a stone throwing distance from Shivajinagar Bus Stand, attracts devotees from all religions. The yearly feast is very attractive and pulls a lot of devotees from all over Bangalore and from all walks of society.

If in Bangalore try not to miss this beautiful Basilica. I went on a Saturday morning just in time for the English mass. Just to sit in the Church is a wonderful and calm experience. There is a gift shop with moderately priced articles. The toilets take some finding which are at the back of the Church. All in all... More

a lovely Basilica, with good stained glass windows. The access by car is really horrible, through random traffic. But once inside, it is peaceful.

One of the oldest Roman Catholic church in the midst of busy Shivaji nagar, Bangalore. Its advisable to go there by public transport because its such a pain to find a parking place there. The stained window glass a beauty in itself along with columns of huge proportion. You can buys religious articles along the sides of the church. You... More

This Basilica is over a hundred years old and located in the busy Shivajij Nagar area. Go using public transport as parking here is a nightmare and almost close to impossible. Since there are lots of miracles associated with this Basilica, it has become one huge marketing place for the church. Candles, incense, flowers, donations - all this takes away... More

For visitors to Bangalore, Shivajinagar is a good experience to see a Hindu, Muslim and Christian neighborhood. I visited the Basilica, after going around in the area and seeing places of worships, especially temples and mosques. The church was always attended, either in the early morning or early evening. There was a constant flow of people coming and worshiping. As... More

We chanced upon this church by chance... it was a very beautiful place to be. The gothic architecture is attractive and imposing, and once wont miss the tall spire which can be seen from a long distance. There are some small statuettes inside of various saints. The artwork in brass is very impressive indeed. A nice place to be at!
