Owner description: The Neo-Dravidian-style Vidhana Soudha is the seat of the state legislature while the red Attara Kacheri houses the High Court. In 2005, an annex called the Vikas Soudha was inaugurated, designed as an exact replica of the Vidhana Soudha. Though these buildings cannot be visited, they can be viewed from the outside.

Since it is the building where the folks of the state legislature work, it is off limits for the general public. It is over 50 years old and quite a sight to behold. Due to security concerns, getting inside is not allowed usually. You could talk to the security gate folks to see if things have changed in the recent... More

Vidhana Soudha is the Legislature House constructed by Kempe Gowda; founder of Bangalore (Bangalore Airport is named after him as Kempe Gowda International Airport) + many roads and places are named after this Great man of Bangalore. Weekends when lights are on from around 7PM, it is worth seeing Vidhana Soudha - not sure, whether visitors are allowed inside; but... More

Great architecture, but cannot approach due to security concerns as it houses government offices. Can click pictures using this as a backdrop. Impressive High court building across the street. Can stroll over to the Cubbon Park. Lot of METRO work going making it a little difficult to approach. Worth driving bye late evening and nights.

The archetecture on these buildings are not to be missed. It isn't worth going inside as the government is usually in session, but walking around the outside is well wrth the trip.

A royal and majestic building that houses the secretariat buildings. On the itinerary of all tourists visiting Bengaluru. However, can be viewed only from outside and one is not allowed to enter inside.

All visitors to Bengaluru must start their tour from these two structures. Vidhana Soudha is a piece of marvel as it is built by marble. This was the inspirational idea of the late chief minister Kengal Hanumanthiah. There are huge pillars to support the structure. Select government departments (secretariat) are housed here. There are various idols of great personalities. There... More

I had a glimpse of it from the road for around 10 minutes. The entire building is very British...You would have a real feel of how politicians work in the area. The big stature of Gandhi Bapu in the middle is very appealing. One is not allowed to enter inside the buiding.so one can view it from outside only. But worth a... More
