Description: The Neo-Dravidian-style Vidhana Soudha is the seat of the state...
The Neo-Dravidian-style Vidhana Soudha is the seat of the state legislature while the red Attara Kacheri houses the High Court. In 2005, an annex called the Vikas Soudha was inaugurated, designed as an exact replica of the Vidhana Soudha. Though these buildings cannot be visited, they can be viewed from the outside.

The place from which Karnataka government functions now. Thought there isn't much to look at (unless you're an architecture buff) the road surrounding it is great for a late night drive.

very inspiring. Well built and perfectly maintained. Very decent well dressed guards. Excellent combination used for building up the fort like building.

This building dominates the Bangalore skyline. It's a massive, impressive monument. However, it is closed to tourists and the public, surrounded by fencing, gun totting soldiers and barricades. Why it's listed as a tourist attraction, other than being able to take outside photos through the fence is a mystery.

Vidhana soudha, is built in stone has very majestic look which houses the Government of Karnataka. Now access to the building is difficult due to security issues. One can have outside view along with colonial high court building and Cubbon park near it.

Vidhana Soudha, which houses the ministers' offices, is a monument worth the visit with family. You love the architecture and will be able to spend time visiting nearby places as well. The Hig Court and Cubbon Park are just opposite Vidhana Soudha.
