The Neo-Dravidian-style Vidhana Soudha is the seat of the state legislature while the red Attara Kacheri houses the High Court. In 2005, an annex called the Vikas Soudha was inaugurated, designed as an exact replica of the Vidhana Soudha. Though these buildings cannot be visited, they can be viewed from the outside.

The Vidhana Soudha, one of the most defining landmarks of Bangalore and also of Karnataka State, is an imposing granite structure in the Indo-Saracenic style favoured in Old Mysore region for Public buildings. It houses both houses of the state legislature, and was built through the hard work and vision of Kengal Hanumanthaiah, one of the early Chief Ministers of... More

Great architecture, but not accessible to general public due to security concerns as it houses government offices. One of the oldest attractions in Bangalore… 20 years ago everyone's favorite place to take a picture with this monument in the background but the city is soon forgetting this place.

They are building the Metro and a lot of digging and construction work is spoiling the whole look of this wonderful spot. Hopefully in a year or two the... More

Do visit this place and the gardens nearby. They are very well maintained, clean. Location is excellent. Avoid going to parks at late evening and nights.
