A residential area with quaint homes, leafy roads, markets and temples, a walk here can take you back in time. Always buzzing with activity, Basavanagudi buzzes even more feverishly before festivals. There are numerous restaurants here, some institutions in themselves. This is a good place to feast on idlis (savory cake), dosas (savory pancakes) and the famous filter kaapi (coffee). « less

Basavanagudi is one of the most preferred location to live in Bengaluru. With lots of greenery, bull temple, bugal rock, gandhi bazaar market and so on, it is very nice place. Basavanagudi is well connected to rest of the city. Has lots of reputed institutions nearby-National college, BMS etc

I lived here for some years and now moved to other part due to work and commitment. but then still yearn to live in this area. even though it has gone from less travelled to one of the busy spots with its own traffic jams, the greenery and shopping exprience you find will not be same in any other area.... The veg, flower and fruit market in Gandi Bazar is a treat for the eyes. Food: Delicious South indian stuff with a few Punjabi restaurants... More
