Went there on a Saturday to visit this massive banyan tree. A small drive from Bangalore city with my friends. This is nothing more than a small park. Can skip if you are looking to spend much time as there isn't anything worth watching other than the tree and the monkeys there. Good for a leisurely evening walk and to... More

We went there with the family. The kids loved running around and it was really nice and quiet. Could be crowded on holidays though.

Tall Banyan tree spread really wide. You can walk around the entire tree and sit in the small benches. Nice getaway from the city. You can spend a hour there. apart from that, there is nothing much to do around the place

At a distance of 43 kms from Bellandur, Bangalore, the Dodda Alada Mara, literally translated to Big Banyan Tree, is a giant Banyan tree located in the village of Kethohalli in the Bangalore Urban district. Me and my hubby started our journey on bike at around 3:30 PM on a Weekend via Harlur Road and Nice Ring Road.... The Nice... More

I biked from bangalore. spent ~20 minutes. It's just a vast big tree :) No great palce to eat nearby. Small hotels can be found. Lot of nurseries on the way. Picked up couple of rare plants from there. Wanted to go to Ramnagar/Talacadu but it was late :(

The tree was big having multiple branches , decently maintained. That was the only attraction. You have to drive some 10km from Mysore road, the road was normal. The temperature was high even on winter season. Too much monkeys in the tree, beware if you plan to take any thing in hand. No dedicated car parking, had to leave the... More

This was a quick plan for the trip. So we picked the closest place, around 40km from Bangalore, the big banyan tree. It is said that the tree is spread across 3 acres. This is a nice place to sit for a while and relax. Lot of monkeys around. Couoles if hotels are there nearby. There isn't much to do... More

Off Mysore road, around 5-7 Kms from rajarajeswari dental college, you will not miss this attraction. Preferably, take your own vehicle to reach here. The first thing that strikes is the "huge"ness of the Banyan tree; the tree(s) branches seem to be everywhere and in many forms, knitting among themselves to make this a complex and "huge" attraction. The name(in... More

It doesn't worth 2-3 hours driving. The main thing you cant identify it a a single tree. It looks like many trees. It has become just a garden
