From one of our friends we came to know that there is a Dam nearby and we directly drove to the dam.... More

A big banyan tree with its main trunk gone. Now it looks like a bunch of different trees and some of them are not even connected (at least above the ground). The board outside says the tree is contained in a 3.5 acre area but the fenced area felt less than 1 acre. Perhaps it used to be 3.5 acre... More

Its one of the oldest banyan tree in india, the oldest being in andhra. There is no point travelling that far just for this until and unless you were on a mission to check this out. I cycled my way to this place so it wasnt much of a deal for me. You can just spend an hour sitting under... More

The tree is now bounded and maintained by horticultural society. The environment is peaceful and quite with imposing tree if you can tolerate aggressive monkeys and noisy stray dogs. The monkeys will snatch anything that looks like food right out your hands.

It’s really a sight to see, with the huge banyan tree, spread across, say around 70x70 area, shrouding like an umbrella, underneath a small temple. The surrounding is quiet & serene, away from the hustle & bustle of the city.

on the way back from Innovative film city took a digress and came to see this place. It is a good place to see the OLD banyan tree. But sadly there is no much place for the tree to grow . Max time to spend is about 20 - 30 minutes. And also beaware of Monkeys.
