A fairly slow amble through a delightful park with some fascinating information and insights from Vijay who appears to have an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the Lalbagh and Bangalore, and Indian military history. A great way to spend an early Sunday morning if you are up early enough.

No doubt Vijay has good knowledge about history and botanical and is able to keep most of the audience engage. Few facts. 1. Walk is actually a walkthrough since lot of details are shared. 2. May be such botanical facts can be found easily on google instead of spending 3 hours. 3. Some of historical piece of information needs more... More

I grew up near Lalbagh, and spent about 25 years of my life at a walking distance from Lalbagh. So I have been here many a time. However, Mr. Vijay's guided Green Heritage Walk takes you through the garden like no other! We began the walk at 7am and finished by 9:45am, heading straight to some great South Indian breakfast... An informative tour of Lalbagh Gardens. We learned a great deal about both the history of the gardens along with the variety of trees and plants from all over the world. Just when we were tiring from the walk - we ended it with a lovely breakfast/brunch at Mavalli Tiffin Room.

Knowledgeable, methods used with flash cards to describe the history of Bengaluru. Visited a Coffee santhe and an art gallery by the name of Art Bimba. The coffee santhe was a comptetition for lady brewsters with an international jury. Art Bimba is known for a story telling expereince in Navratri with special handmade statues (see photo). Its like a small... More

Bangalore - the city I live in. This is the air conditioned, garden and IT city in India. The airport is around 30 miles off city center. There are buses that ply between airport and city center. If you reached the airport hop into one of these buses destined to different areas to reach any part of city center. If... More

Don't get me wrong - the guide (Vijay) is ludicrously knowledgable. That said, in the hour-and-a-half that we managed to survive before giving up and taking off by ourselves, we had progressed, oh, perhaps, 200 feet. And no, I'm not kidding. Mind you, if it was advertised as something like "Lecture with a little movement", it would be pretty amazing... More

What a great privilege to have Mr Vijay as a guide in Bangalore's Lal Bagh gardens. He is extremely knowledgeable about not only the gardens and their history, but Bangalore history in general. There was hardly a question, on any topic, he couldn't answer. He'll point out things that aren't signposted and that you wouldn't otherwise notice. And the whole... More

When I was looking for the Bangalore Walks only this one was happening. Didn't know what expects me, I met the group and Mr. Vijay at the entrance of the Bangalore Botanical Garden. I didn't know I would get so many information! Mr. Vijay is extremely knowledgeable and you can sense his excitement for botanic, mythology, culture, history. He touched... More

Vijay has very good knowledge of the Lal Bagh botanical gardens. But the pace of the walk is very slow. And it seems he has a problem with mobility which leads to him pointing out trees from afar as apposed to a more close inspection. Great weather and clean air are highlights.
