Vijay has very good knowledge of the Lal Bagh botanical gardens. But the pace of the walk is very slow. And it seems he has a problem with mobility which leads to him pointing out trees from afar as apposed to a more close inspection. Great weather and clean air are highlights.

Took Bangalore city tour with party of 10, spend aprox 3 hours touring the city. Arun, the tour guide, is highly educated, well spoken, and speaks with great pride and knowledge about India's history, it's colonial past, India's independence and recent history and how these events shaped the city, it's buildings, layout, parks, population and formation of high-tech aviation, aerospace... It looks like the only tour running at the moment is the Green Heritage walk - I went on this yesterday and I'd back up everything people have said about Mr Vijay's walk, very interesting and brilliantly narrated :) Although I would say that it's not something for young kids (or adults) with a short attention span.

My husband and I (from Australia) agree that this is possibly the best guided walk we have ever been in, in our life! Mr Vijay Thiruvady wove a narrative made from threads of history, botany, empires, religion, philosophy and geography that truly made the three hours of the walk fly by in a moment. This wasn't just a dry, academic... More

Mr. Vijay Thiruvady's Lalbagh walk on Sunday mornings are fantastic. Even if you are a local, do go on this walk. You will learn so much, in the best possible way. Absolutely loved it!

My friends and I signed up for the Green Heritage Walk organised every Sunday. We were a bit sceptical as to how a guided tour for over 3hrs covering trees & other flora could be interesting. And we were in for a surprise! Mr. Vijay is a master story teller where the various trees are like characters in a story.... More

The best way to spend a few hours early on Sunday morning. Mr. Vijay is an enthusiastic and knowledgable guide full of anecdotes about the gardens, Bangalore and much more. The breakfast at MTR was a true highlight. Fantastic, highly recommended.

Beautifully lead walk through Bangalore's Botanical Garden, Lal Bagh. The guide is a widely read, senior gent who seamlessly connects anecdotes to history, politics, geography and then brings alive the story of a tree or leaf...Compressed into 3 hours across 240 acres, this is just a sneak preview, since Mr Vijay can easily and most engagingly hold the group in... I booked a cab in Bangalore for Airport drop for just Rs. 650. When the cab came I was surprised totally, It was a luxury sedan car. Later I got to know that Mega Cabs is having this offer for its customers. The cab was fabulous with comfortable seats and AC was on. It was like I am traveling in... More
