Approx 30 kms from Bangalore city lies the national park, though its not big or open like any national forest , but worth going there once for seeing the tigers roaming in open place. The place has become hot spots for Bangalore crowds, so recommended to avoid weekends. A must go for tiger and animals lovers, as stated avoid wekeends,... More

Place is like a zoo but with bigger boundries/ cages. You enter into a zone for specific animals and you will see few of them. Ranthambore is a better place for real jungle experience

Bannerghatta National Park - the zoo is average, like any other zoo. but the safari is the actual jewel. Don't miss that. We did take the safari as the first thing there, and it proved good move, as later, the queue was so long. it would take more than 30-45 mins.

If you can afford it, fork out a little extra or join a few other folks for a private safari. Otherwise you will be on a very crowded bus. The private safari was in a van which probably seats around 15 but we had only 4 of us. The tour drives through many areas of the park with a number... More

I went to the national park last week. Initialy, I did not check with the website and went on a Tuesday, only to find that it is closed. Next day we took a bus from Majestic bus Terminus, 365 (AC bus, quite comfortabble for an hour long journey). We booked tickets for the combo which includes the safari and zoo.... More

The park is not so good but the safari steals the show. You experience the animals sitting at close range( as close as arms length). Not to be missed opportunity when in Bangalore. Although it works like a government department but in the end the treat for the eyes makes up for it
