This was once the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan. It’s a good place for hiking and birding. The hill also has temples dating back to the Chola period. It gets extremely crowded on weekends. The hills offer great views of the surroundings, though.

Nandi hills is around a 1.5 hour drive from Bangalore. You should go early morning so that you can enjoy the misty hills, and can get the views once the mist clears up after a while. Nandi hills, situated about 60 Kms from Bangalore is a beautiful hill station and is a great trekking spot. The drive to this place is filled with stunning views. The best time to visit it is an early morning drive from Bangalore. One can witness the mist and the fog surrounding the hills. The drive is a bit challenging as... More

This place proved to be one of the worst places to visit near Bengaluru . Just a normal scenic view and people were mad like anything . A mad rush will be one of the spoiler to a mediocre place like this . Only good weather is one of the plus points!!!

Nandi hills is roughly 45 mins from North bangalore. Very nice escape from the city and the climate is much cooler in May. Amazing nature treks and big old trees. Historical monuments are also easy to see. Car parking is 100rps. Was crowded on sunday. Recommend a weekday. Enjoy and keep it clean.

On hearing a lot about the place we decided to try and make it early one morning. Even though we reached at around 5:45 am, we couldn't make it in time as there was a little traffic jam while reaching the top. Parking is available at the top of the hill. I got off a little near to the entrance... More
