This was once the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan. It’s a good place for hiking and birding. The hill also has temples dating back to the Chola period. It gets extremely crowded on weekends. The hills offer great views of the surroundings, though.

Great place to glance the sunrise if staying in Bangalore. A visit to the place is coupled with short bike ride with small hill climb. Once on the top you get amazed by the beauty of landscape. Approx 68km from Bangalore. Entry to uphill starts at 6am and closing time is 6pm. Best season to visit Winter and Rainy to... More

Nandi hills is a very picturesque place to view sun rise. Being close to Bangalore (close to Bangalore International Airport, now called Kempegowda International Airport), it is very easy to reach and the drive to the top of the hill is a great experience. The place is quite clean and well maintained.

I waited for almost 4 years to reach this place. Finally my turn came and it was amazing small trip of half day with my family and friends. Early morning you find very thick fog and very difficult to drive. New drivers should be cautious before planning to reach nandi hills. Because 2-3 km before nandi hills there will be... More
