The hill also has temples dating back to the Chola period. It gets extremely crowded on weekends. The hills offer great views of the surroundings, though. « less

nice weekend outing near to Bangalore. No need to stay overnight. We, group of 12 (7 boys, 5 girls) went there around mid June 2013. 6 bikes - 12 people, left Bangalore around 2:30 am, reached 5:30am (with many halts in between). Spent 2 hours (excluding standing in queue for ticket, parking etc), and left between 8:30 and 9:00. The... More

We went to Nandi hills to view the sunrise and we reached the place by 6.20 am but as soon as we reached the top of the mountain, the whole mountain was covered by mist and the visibility was below normal. It was like a climate we see in Ooty or Kodiakanal, we enjoyed the weather and the environment very... More

What more can be said when everyone is already under the magic of this place. The thrill which "Nandi Hills" provides is just not for what can be felt on the top, but also what can be rejoiced on the way up the steep climb to the top. Its a double layer treat, where you enjoy the journey as well... More

Looking forward to the visit to Nandi Hills, supposedly the Queen of the Hills around Bangalore, we departed quite late, knowing that the early hours are crowded. 50 kms drive from Marathahalli, over the Outer Ring Road and onto the Hebbal - Devanahalli Expressway and to the base of the hills, took us a pleasant hour's drive to be more...
