This was once the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan. It’s a good place for hiking and birding. The hill also has temples dating back to the Chola period. It gets extremely crowded on weekends. The hills offer great views of the surroundings, though.

Drove to Nandi Hills from Bengaluru on a Sunday. It is a beautiful place almost 5000ft above MSL. Plan to reach early and spend the whole day there. Food is available. Week-ends could be a bit crowded and the Bengaluru traffic can be a spoil-sport but it is still worth a visit.

The drive to the place is very good, although traffic can be quiet terrible and you may get stuck in the uphill drive. The place is decently maintained with clean surroundings but the trash disposal is done by dumping it all in the edge of a cliff!!! Nice place to walk around and explore the woods. You can also opt... More

Please leave early so that you get a place to park and do not leave before 8. This place looks amazing in the wee hours of the morning. The Sun rise is great and the park created on the top of the hill is good.

It was very good short drive, once at the top, u can feel the cool breeze and spectacular view. Tippu drop is one of the major attractions. Have seen sunset which was spectacular. Yet to see sunrise from nandi. Restaurant at the hill top is good. A must visit place

A small hill jutting out of the plains along with a few siblings, is Nandi Hills. It is one the way to Hyderabad, from Bengaluru, just outside the now vast city, about 10 km from the toll gate that comes after the road peels off to the KGIA (airport)complex. You can miss it if you go fast, the diversion, so... More

The route from Bangalore to Nandi Hills itself is a scenic one and then you are on hills! Weather was really good that day and we could feel the water drops. Good visit for first half of the day.

This is just a normal place with a normal view. Nothing special about it. The view might be very good on a single day of the year but i really didn't find it interesting. You can rent cycles there too!

We visited Nandi hills, some 68 kms from bangalore. Our objective was to reach before sunrise so we left as early as 4:30 am from the city.It was a beautiful 1.5 hrs ride to the hills. As we climbed the hills, it got misty and foggy and really cool. It was a refreshing change from the city heat. They allow vehicles only... More
