This was once the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan. It’s a good place for hiking and birding. The hill also has temples dating back to the Chola period. It gets extremely crowded on weekends. The hills offer great views of the surroundings, though.

A greenery in the midst of nature. Nice place with hill tops, walking space, small restaurants, greenery, scenic, playing areas, viewing stands, Tipu drop and more. You can visit here with anyone say wife, parents, kids, friends, gf/bf and so on. You can spend a day there. Road has quite a number of hairpin curves, so go on a powered... More

We went there early in the morning. Started our journey on bikes and drove all the way through the busy(otherwise) bangalore roads to reach there at around 6 a.m. It was a holiday so it seemed like the whole of bangalore have come to see the sunrise. The way to the hill was jammed by traffic. Being on bikes helped... More

Its a Must go place for a cockpit view. Better to leave early morning. The sunrise is marvelous there. You can leave from Bangalore around 4am so that you reach just before sunrise. If you are going in a car you dont have to walk much, as after a certain point only cars are allowed.

Nandi Hills have been one of my favorite spots for half a day's getaway and hang around with my friends. I have been there seven to eight times with different groups and it has always amazed me with what the place has to offer. The place can be reached by car or bike and is a treat for those who... This is a nice place to visit and spend some time with nature. It is a day's drive from Bangalore. Good place if you want to get away from the city and want some peaceful time.

It's a decent place for a half day excursion, not far from Bangalore. I personally liked the drive more, you pass through the city roads, the highway and a short stretch of something close to what you'd call county side. It's best to get there early in the morning to catch the sunrise, before it gets very sunny. The road... More
