This was once the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan. It’s a good place for hiking and birding. The hill also has temples dating back to the Chola period. It gets extremely crowded on weekends. The hills offer great views of the surroundings, though.

Title says it all. Had an awesome 2 hours drive to nandi hills. Fabulous breeze throughout the ascend. Nice cool weather even on a summer morning. Left at 4.30 in the morning. Reached around 6.15. Sun comes down hard around 9. Till then for 3 hours, it's an experience worthy sharing with your special lady ;) will surely visit again... More

There nothing much in these hills except that it is about 50 kms from Bangalore and offer beautiful sunrise view. If you have been to various hill stations, you will find it below average. But a nice getaway for about half a day from Bangalore.

This place is close to chamundi hills. Massive nandi statue and lot of hawkers around. The shiva cave had been closed down when we went.

Just about 50km from Bangalore it’s the nearest getaway from Bangalore. Best time to visit is during sunrise. The weather over the hill is comparatively cooler than of Bangalore city. Drving skills required are moderate. Car can reach till the top of the hill, so elderly and very young can also be accompanied.

It is best place around B'lore for a weekend getaway. It is so pleasant a top with zero noise & air pollution. But it is highly recommended to visit this place at the monsoons-end or in the winter. You'll experience the bliss of nature with trees & fog around. Overall a beautiful place to visit as a group of friends,... More
