The magnetic hill is real and it pulls your vehicles backwards when ignition is off... I was amazed but wait a second does it really works? to check that we poured some water and although water is non-magnetic it was pulled by the hill :) Enough of sarcasm the place is amazing to visit, nearby trails are to be explored... During our visit to Leh, driver took us to surrounding and magnetic hill was one of them. He shows how the vehicle start moving by itself whil eit was standing in neutral. I really doubt if really there was some magnetic force behind it or it was just due to some bumpy road. Anyway, the site scenery and beauty of... More

Magnet Hill is a so-called "gravity hill" located on the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar national highway, about 30 km from Leh, at a height of 11,000 feet above sea level on the way to Sangam point. It is an amazing small stretch on the road where you need to stop your vehicle & the vehicle moves on its own on a small slope,... More

Do not waste time on this. Well it does not take much time either. Just a illusion which not good enough even. So keep moving to the real destination Leh <3

This essentially is downward slopping road which is an optical illusion causing road to appear upward. If one stops one card and puts it on neutral gear, the car would automatically move forward. Nice to experience if this falls on your route, but not worth a dedicated trip or detour.

Had a more expectation on this magnetic hill, whereas disappointed reason might be high expectation. Vehicle will move in as mentioned but effect you won't be able to feel it.. It has a scenic view of mountains around to it. Can stop for few mins and enjoy the view and feel of vehicle move.

Fascinated by shahruk on "Jab tak hai jaan", I always wanted to drive down these roads, magnatic hill is just that, long roads nothing else, still its beautiful to be there and spend little time. I am not sure if there is magnet or its a trik, as its hard to tell that, but its a good spot to spend... More
