The magnetic hill also called as the mystery hill isn’t far off from the city of Leh. Some even call it the mystery hill because you can drive even with your car ignition off. The pull of the magnetic force allows cars to travel at speeds of 20kmph. The hill is situated near the Leh-Kargil-Baltic National Highway. We tried to... More

Interesting place.. We stopped here, tried to make out the magnetic effect but it did not make too much of sense. The vehicle seemed to move in the same direction as that of the slope, so that's normal. Anyway, the place is a good place for stopover - explore the place, have some snaps, refresh and go.

Only place in Ladakh to have a jam at times with people trying out the magnet at work . To me it seems the road gradient at work .

We were told that four wheelers won't go down the steep even when they r in neutral gear due to the pul of of magnetic hill. Honestly speaking, I doubt it. Though we were on bikes and thus were cautioned that bikes don't exhibit the same phenomenon, I have seen many cars in the magnetic hill desperately trying to get... More

A very interesting, gravity defying place worth experiencing. Apart from the experience of the magnetic field pulling the vehicles, one can enjoy the beautiful topography around this hill.

Magnetic Hill you can visit just to take snaps with the Board. We have not felt any magnetic effect as heard about the place.

One will have goosebumps while driving pass through Mountains. The View from the hill covers a large landscape which makes apt for photography.

I was not on a self drive but hired a taxi for the entire trip and my driver was so bad that he refused to go up the hills where we could actually feel the movement upwards automatically. So i found it very ordinary but it comes on the way so why not just wait and see. Also if you... More

Situated around 30-35Kms from Leh, this is one hell of an awesome place for bikers and photographers. Open Roads, Majestic Hills on all sides, magnificent view, classy scenic view from all sides, and to add to the above, the wonder of bikes going uphill automatically, due to the magnetic effect, which I certainly experienced and captured it in a video...... The whole thing is not very obvious. After seeing all the superb monasteries and the Indus Valley, this felt like an unnecessary stop
