We visited this point on 31st Aug 2015. Its a road where some marks are being made, implying it has some magnetic pull. Our driver stooped the engine and we observed that the vehicle (Innova) was going upward. In the last i will leave it to physics/scientist to comment whether its optical illusion or some other type of force working... More

We were on magnetic hill road, but actually did not feel it that much, just a road with superb view, loved it a lot, the hills hills and hills, and you are alone in a heaven, Mind blowing!

It could really qualify as a natural wonder. Our driver turned off the engine and yet the SUV crawled up the slope of the road on rear gear. I did keep a video as proof. Amazing place. If you are visiting Leh, you must not miss it. I had been to this place in September 2013.

As soon as you reach this place, there is a board put by Border Roads organization mentioning Magnetic Hill and they have also made a box on the road with white paint. when you park your car in/around this area without any breaks and gear you will realize the Car will start moving automatically. It is said that the hills... More

You need to keep looking for a small sign board on the rad, else if there is nobody else on the road, you will miss the spot. On this particular part of the Srinagar-Leh highway, there is a road ahead going uphill. You turn off the engine and let your vehicle stand in neutral ( only at designated box on... More

I've stayed for 4 month in NImmu (30 km away from Leh) and passed this place many times. There were always people standing there – but actually noone could tell me what it is all about ... No magic there. And no magnet :-(

You would never know if the legend of magnetic hill is real or a myth. We did not feel anything when we passed by it, but there are people who have stories to tell.

Magnetic hill is a small strip of road on the way to Leh from Manali. That is a place where vehicles climb up on the road while the engine is off. It looks strange but seems like illusion.
