Here you can see sand dunes and dust storms, mountains with snow peaks, the river Indus flowing in between, the old Silk Route, and Bactrian camels. Stay for a day or two.

My Journey To Ladhakh Ladhakh is combination of 2 district Kargil and Leh, and Leh is second largest district of india. Note. Plastics are banned in Ladhakh, even water bottles(But people use it) Starting from Srinagar to Shimla BY Road, although it becomes very difficult at the end but one will never feel tired looking at the beauty of nature.... The drive is just amazing to this place via Kardungla - the highest motorable road - enroute you encounter all sorts of topography ... hill range, vally, pass, snow capped mountains, bare mountains and what more - sand dunes as well !! Lots of greenery here due to many Organic farms having mushroomed here !

the road drive to nubra valley is simply superb and awesome. However, you would not find anything specific attractive after you reach Nubra, but the way to Nubra will keep you mesmerizing !!!

the Drive from Leh city takes about 5-6 hours on roads which is quite bad in patches, but it is breathtaking literally if you get down from the vehicle. The high point of this trip was passing through Khardungla which is the highest motorable road in the world. The landscape kept changing with fantastic views of snowstreaked mountains , at times... More

Nubra Valley is really a wonderful place to visit. We travel from Leh to Nubra Valley across the Khardung La which is the highest motorable road in the world. Its a great experience because we are the the height of 5602m above sea level. Lack of oxygen and fantastic view. We stay in Tent in Nubra Valley. Its cold at... More

must have been the wrong season..no fruit trees and terrible accommodation. The drive there was fantastic well worth the trip but I would suggest going half way to the highest motorable road in the world and returning to leh if you travel there in May
