Its only place where you can see sand,Ice,Mountain,Water at the same time. The double hump camel ride is not fun,but one can try. Have fun in the sand dunes, climbing the sand hills. The sunset is fantastic.

A journey here requires some effort and it will reward you with impressive sights of incomparable landscape, local culture and a space of tranquility. This a place truly away from a hurried world. So give it at least two or three days. Visiting Diskit Monastery may... More

I drove my bullet 150km the Khardung-La to reach this most beautiful valley and amazing drive of 4 hours. It is heart of leh and must go. best is to spend a night at tents provided by many guest houses near Hunder/Diksit. and ride back next day.

The Nubra Valley is another awesome destination in the Ladakh region. Hunder and Turtuk are a part of the Valley. The views are mesmerizing and you cannot see people for kilometres together. A desertlike atmosphere among huge Himalaya mountain tops. It's all there: sand, dunes, a river, sheep and goats, trees and even camels. We made a great walk there. We strongly recommend late in the afternoon. Then you have the best light. It was a stay to remember.

The route is beautiful and so are the sand dunes. A stay at the dunes is a must and also the camel ride. No where else in the world do u get to see sand, greenery and water at the same place.
