This gives good view of Srinagar. However, you have to climb around 300 steps to reach the top. We could not take it as we were short of time. Also, they dont let all to climb at a time. THey let u go in groups. Hence you have to wait for ur turn

The drive up is very scenic. There is security checking before the climb up to the shrine. Mobile and cameras are not allowed up. Leave them in the taxi. The stairs maybe difficult for aged people. The pandit on top advises not to wear leather items such as belts while entering the shrine. The shrine is small and can get... More

Peaceful temple at the top of the hill. Also gives breathtaking views of Srinagar City. One needs to climb 220 steps to get to the temple. Leather articles and cameras are not allowed.

Beautiful views of the Srinagar city awaits you upstairs. There are some 280-odd steps to climb to reach the top and see the temple. We (3 of us with my mother aged 56) climbed atop with a couple of breaks. And were glad we did that. The views of the city from the top are wonderful.

The Hill has a lovely gateway. The drive up the hill to the temple is extremely scenic. Some view points from the top of the hill are very scenic. The view from the top of the entire city is breath taking.

One of the cleanest temple i have ever been to.A huge Shiv Ling resting at the peak. A steep climb for a few minutes from the main entrance (about 4 Kms from the dal lake road towards the top by car and followed by steps). Do also visit the Shankaracharya meditation room.
