Calm and serene lake. Way better than dal lake which is crowded, noisy, and dirty compared to nagin. Moreover, the better and more luxurious houseboats are also in this lake. I would recommend this lake over dal lake, if you are looking for a romantic or peaceful getaway.

the best thing about nagin lake is that it is free from hustle and bustle and very calm and serene and most foreigners prefer to stay at nagin lake and some of the high end houseboats are situated here

On my first trip i stayed at dal lake and i was advised to stay at nagin the second time around.Dal lake is better. Nagin is quiet but there is really nothing to see, takes a while to get to the main areas and its more expensive

We stayed in a houseboat in this lake. I think the lake is called NIGEEN and not NAGIN. anyhow, the Shikara ride in here was very peaceful as compared to the one at DAL which was too touristy and commercial.

This lake is far away from the hustle and bustle of the main city. One can enjoy the shikara ride much more than the Dal lake.

Had a Shikara ride through Dal and Nagin lake. Lot of pestering sellers in shikara spoilt the serenity of the ride. Water is clean but a lot of rubbish floating on the surface and at depth also.

Nagin - in contrast to Dal Lake - is quiet, not so crowded, cleaner, not so urban. Boats are moored well away from the busy road, there are neighbouring parks and gardens and I have got to know the Nagin community over many years of visits.

It has a different charm than dal lake. Quiet, laid back, beautiful at sunset & sunrise. Take a shikara from nigeen club. surfing option available at the centre of the lake on a raft...... floating markets can be accessed. otherwise a nice view of houseboats..
