This lake is far away from the hustle and bustle of the main city. One can enjoy the shikara ride much more than the Dal lake.

Had a Shikara ride through Dal and Nagin lake. Lot of pestering sellers in shikara spoilt the serenity of the ride. Water is clean but a lot of rubbish floating on the surface and at depth also.

Nagin - in contrast to Dal Lake - is quiet, not so crowded, cleaner, not so urban. Boats are moored well away from the busy road, there are neighbouring parks and gardens and I have got to know the Nagin community over many years of visits.

It has a different charm than dal lake. Quiet, laid back, beautiful at sunset & sunrise. Take a shikara from nigeen club. surfing option available at the centre of the lake on a raft...... floating markets can be accessed. otherwise a nice view of houseboats..

We stayed in New Jaqueline Houseboat and while the houseboat itself was nice, the service was anything but. The lake is dirty because of the floods; but should get better once the snow comes in.

was initially hesitant to stay there's on my previous 2 visits stayed on the Dal lake. I am glad we stayed this timeon Nageen as the super deluxe houseboats are better, the lake is not congested and is clean unlike the Dal lake. Migratory birds a be seen often at this time of the season.. Since fishes can be seen... More

Went on a Shikara ride, the lake is ok but appears very dirty. Also need to negotiate a lot with the Shikara owners. They ask for a tip for everything.
