The Nagin lake is set in one of the most serene location. Placid waters, mountain ranges all around. The view allows you to enjoy the full expanse of the waters and the mountains. You could sit on the deck of the House Boat and enjoy the life on Shikara go gently by.

Nageen lake is a smaller like, which lies in an isolated place. Quite far from dal, which is full of life. Could be good for someone who has stayed a lot in dal, else the first timers should choose dal lake without any doubt.

It is far less commercialized than Dal lake. Staying at a houseboat on Nigeen lake is a good idea. One should go for a shikara ride early in the morning. Floating farms and a lot of birds to see.

It is a few years since my wife and I last visited this jewel in the Himalayas but I will never forget the lake. Take a houseboat, relax on the roof and watch the fish eagles and kingfishers. The lake is covered in lotus blossom and shikara are paddled around as taxis or with vendors selling their beautiful wares. The... More

This lake is as similar as the Dal Lake and this one is behind the Dal Lake and has many houseboats . One can stay in those houseboats but with an additional fee.

The lake an offshoot of Dal lake of Srinagar is quite famous among foreigners due to the peaceful ambiance it offers. The house boat gives a picturesque view which is worth getting immersed into.

This lake is smaller as compare to dal lake. But very nice , clean and tidy. Only a few houseboat s and all are elegant. I think staying at nagin lake should always be a part of Kashmir trip.
