the lake is a part of the beautiful dal lake. You can stay in the luxurious houseboats in this lake. You will find more beautiful and better houseboats in Nagin Lake than dal Lake. Do enjoy the speed boat ride. Thank You !!

Nagin lake is a small lake just next to the large Dal lake connected through a narrow backwater. Many top hotels have their own houseboats. Families who want to enjoy the quieter side of Dal lake without vendors disturbance, then this is the place.

I stayed in National Boat house. Man this location was stunning. Early in the mornings clouds passing low covering the mid part of the mountain giving a clear visibility of the top of the mountain with some slight drizzle and you be in a shikara that time with some drink. Man that's some life.

Great atmosphere. This lake is away from the hustle of the Dal Lake. People who prefer serene and quiet atmosphere will love this. Not many hawkers around here!

Pros :- Great place for a relaxing trip. Not many cross sellers. Not crowdy. Amazing views. Cons :- A bit far from city center but manageable. Do not miss the Shikara Ride in Nageen. Its fabulous. Especially at sun set time.

Actually Dal lake is so big that it is divided into different names. Nigeen lake is one which is smaller and visited by mainly foreigners.
