It is a garden at a hilltop & the view of the snow capped mountains & the city is pretty. Small but a well maintained garden. It was a center to learn astrology & built by eldest son of Shah Jahan. Not a must visit but if time in hand then should be visited.

Next we moved to Pari Mahal garden. It was at hilltop and the way up was beautiful with bright brown trees (names unknown), yellow flowers leaves covering the way. As it was spring season, the surroundings were all lush green and flowery. Parimahal is a seven terraced garden located at the top of Zabarwan mountain range over-looking city of Srinagar... More

I visited this place in march 2015. Its a beautiful place, not like big forts in jaipur or mysore, but a small palace with gardens and good view of the snow covered hills and Srinagar city. One can see the entire city and dal lake from the Mahal. Must visit place.

If you see Chashmeshahi and Nishat bagh gardens then you will find this place pretty average but the view of Dal lake from top of this place can catch your attention

this place has special memories for me...the first time i visited pari mahal in 2012 in summer in the evening to watch the sunset. old forts and palace ruins have always given me a deja vu feeling. The view from the pari mahal is amazing. You can view the entire srinagar city and have a feeling of the snow clad... More

don't waste your time and money in Parimahal. Just an old structure with an O.K view of the valley. not much to do there apart from getting yourself clicked in a Kashmiri dress, which you can do anyhere in Srinagar.

It was thrilling to climb up the top of the terraced Pari Mahal, built in 1650 by Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Shah Jehan, the Mughal Emperor.,Perched over a hillock overlooking the beautiful Dal lake,it gives a panoramic view of the Dal Lake. The sunset was beautiful.

I thank very much to our tour manager / operator / Kashmir friend/ driver Mr UZAIR (09796102343) , on first day of sightseeing he skipped pari mahal, said that today is not right day for pari mahal but on second last day he insisted and take us to pari mahal. I was surprised that he crossed all the points which... More
