Pari Mahal was built by the Mughal Prince Dara Shikoh. This is not a Mahal but actually a garden which is five storied. Also a BSF Camp. The garden has a small pool and is a site covered by archaelogical survey of India.

Pari Mahal is situated at a good height giving it a benefit of a panaromic view of Srinagar! The view and the garden is refreshing, minus the unruly tourists who throw waste anywhere in the ponds and garden! High fine should be charged for such people. Our local friend told us that it is believed that many scores of years... More

This historicL monument must have more information than what is given. The various structures whether the prison, water tank. Other structures must be explained through hoardings or information stands. Well maintained as usual , the lush green gardens were a treat. The view from there was breathtaking.

Pari Mahal is a historic place which has been converted to a picnic spot. There are beautifully landscaped and sprawling lawns and flowers at the mahal for enjoying the visit. The view from the higher floors of the mahal is amazing.with snowfall during Feb, it looks even better. Ideal spot for a picnic

As soon as you enter Pari Mahal, you are greeted by the fragnance of roses. I actually stood there for a while, inhaling the sweet smell of roses. What a view! What lovely flowers.
