We were told that one should visit Pari Mahal on the hill top. It is nothing but a khandar. And there is no guide to tell us what is the importance of this historical place. This is a substitute to Snakaracharya temple for the view.If you cannot climb upto the Sankaracharya temple go to Pari Mahal. The view from the top is amazing. You can partly see the dal Lake from there.

It is a garden at a hilltop & the view of the snow capped mountains & the city is pretty. Small but a well maintained garden. It was a center to learn astrology & built by eldest son of Shah Jahan. Not a must visit but if time in hand then should be visited.
