We stopped here first and it was such a breath taking experience. There is a army fellow in a bunker sitting right at the top, do not try to act funny, he may just shoot you. Just kidding. Army people are always vigilant and help you. Pari Mahal is a must visit!

The Pari Mahal was quite disappointing. It is a little further up from the Chasma Shahi Gardens. Most people tend to go there since they have already made it to the gardens. There isnt much to see and the entry guys are trying to scam the govt and line their pockets. Avoidable.

This location offers by far the best view of Srinagar city. I always thought that Shankeracharya was the best option but I have to say that Pari Mahal is the preferred option. It has historic significance and is under the aegis of the Archeological Survey of India. You can easily spend about an hour admiring the city from this vantage... More

This place is beautiful, clean, and offers excellent views of Srinagar, and one of the golf courses there. It's easy to get to, not too crowded - and a good place to spend an hour.

A 4-tiered garden ensconed within the folds of the mountains surrounding the Dal lake - it is beautiful with a breath-taking view - of the lake, of the surrounding hotels, of the golf course close by, of the city farther beyond the lake!
