Yousmarg is located about two hours from Srinagar. Nothing to see but a must visit for anyone who wants a quieter side of sight seeing without vendors harassing you. The place is a hill station with lush green meadows spanning wide acres. One can see small rivulets, ponies, cows, horses, sheep grazing in the background. A lovely short drive from... More

We visited Yousmarg in May 2015. It has excellent views and majestic meadows. The more you walk around, more you enjoy its beauty. Ponies are good option, but if you can, walk it out - it is worth the experience.

Yousmarg is really really beautiful....unfortunately it was raining the day we visited there but still the drive from Srinagar and the meadow was lovely. Not much food option so probably a good idea to pack some sandwich with you.

First things first. This place is in Budgam district, south west of Srinagar. Although the maps show estimated time of travel to be approx 1.5 hours, it takes 2.5 hours due to a detour and poor roads at some places. Reaching by taxi is a good option. Travel by local conveyance is very hectic.

Trust me, Its a Kind of Private Snow Land as many of tourist never visit yous marg. But its really SUperb. You can see flowers all around the way and You can have pony ride also or you can walk as its not a Pony Mandate place. But Never Miss it. Its very much scenic and less crowded place.

Was the least crowded of the places we went. There are still pony rides and beggars who are annoying but you just have to be firm, our driver was very helpful (Iqbal: ph 9419761936, very trustworthy, helpful and doesn't over charge) .It took about 1.5 hrs to get here from Srinagar (50kms) with a driver as the roads are so bad... This place resembles paradise!! pristine beauty everywhere and almost close to the border with very little crowd; we reached when the place was full of snow and all that we could see was snow clad mountains and peace everywhere. Though we did not stay here, it was a half day visit but worth it!!
