Went solo last summers. One gets totally fascinated on seeing how thus structure was put up some hundred years ago. The entrance has a market which goes all around the masjid. It has very big doors and as soon as you enter, you see many worshipers and the amazing view how the masjid is supported by the huge wooden logs.... More

Jamia Masjid is the biggest mosque in Srinagar city and worth visiting. The mosque has four big entry gates to enter. great architecture and history. very peaceful and tranquil place. recommended to us not to visit on Fridays. one of the few where one can visit freely.
