This was an excellent introduction to Indian cooking for us. We'd always been hesitant to cook Indian from scratch because it seemed so complicated, but Narvada made it really simple and always gave us feedback along the way. We were very involved in every aspect of the cooking process and in the end made 7 delicious dishes. Highly recommended!

I saw a posting at a hostel that I was staying at in Old Manali and thought I'd check it out. I had one of the guys at an internet cafe call for me. Louise seemed friendly over the phone and I was told that that menu had already been decided on because 2 couples had signed up for the... More

The school is very professionally run, with a visit to the local markets followed by well chosen menu being prepared. It is very hands on, and a lovely recipe book is provided so you don't need to spend all day scribbling down recipes. The ladies are lovely and friendly, so it is fun, and there are incredible views of the... More

Louise was very helpful showing us around the markets and explaining manali life. The food itself was yum and we are looking forward to trying it when we get home. A local business - worth your support.

As a chef I take part in many cooking courses whilst traveling. Many are made to make money off tourists and don't really go into detail and do it properly. This class in Manali was well worth the $$. Go to the market, buy the food, learn about the different foods here in India.Cook the dishes you choose from their website online... More

This course is a nice introduction to Indian cookery - homestyle! The dishes we learnt gave us a nice variety of dishes. The methods shown were from basic - making paste with a stone - to more tricky - how to successfully stuff a parantha! The day was really enjoyable in a fantastic location overlooking snow capped mountains! Narvada is... More
