Sutlej River flows here and there is lot of sulphur present. The stones, pebbles and the sand around the river are hot while the river water is cold. The current of the river was high when i went. If you are interested you can collect some unique stones and pebbles around the river of various shapes sizes and colour.

We went in August and there was not much activity in the area. Climate was hot in August. There are list of activities which can be done here from the White water rafting, rock climbing, horse climbing and there are small shops which serves this activity. Best to have a person who has experience driving through those roads since they... More

We did not have much time and the month (July-Sep) is not right for any adventure activity (river rafting) in the Sutlej river. We sat on the river bank for more than an hour and collected round colorful pebbles (I decided to use one of the beautiful round pebble as paperweight). Tattapani actually means "hot-water" and is famous for hot... More

For a tourist, finding a spot which is breathtaking and not discovered by too many other tourists may seem to be quite attractive, with the traveller considering it a hidden treasure. But it also has its disadvantages. When we went to Tattapani, we had gone with the intention of visiting the hot springs. However, we found that it was quite... More

Its a great place to introduce your kids to rafting. The river is mild and with a good guide, they keep you in mild waters. The sulphur bath experience was also nice.
