The hall hosts many plays specially in gujarati. However the seating is old and uncomfortable and the sound is loud and has poor acoustics. It is a relic of the past that needs a major revamp !

Gandhi Nagar Gruh is an ever popular place but needs to be maintained very badly... as cleanliness is very much required. Parking is still a major problem there. Visiting the place only makes us feel like writing to the Municipal corporation for some quick cleanliness drives there along with maintenance of the overall structure.

Its the old townhall for Barodians, where the citizens of Vadodara gather to savour various performances. A lot of concerts, dramas and many more events have been organized here.

Even after the newer Sayajigruh Townhall, many top artists still prefer to perform at GandhiNagar gruh and its true that the sound and light effects are much better here, only parking is an issue.
