Kabirvad is the place where Saint Kabir temple is situated. It is in the banks of river Narmada. From Zhagadia, go to Zadeshwar and from there go in a boat to Kabirwad via Narmada River. "Vad" in Gujarati means trees with big size trunks deep-rooted. Kabirwad is a famous place situated on an island in the middle of the river Narmada. It can be reached by boats which operate to and from the Shuklatirth Shiva temple. It is an incredible grove of a Banyan tree which has grown over the years and now occupies an area... More

It was nice place for bathing in the river before few years but now there is lot of mud and the water is stagnant and hence not clean to bath. The forestry is good to visit, nice temple and surroundings. Boat sailing experience is also bonus for this place.

Very nice place to visit near Bharuch. You will need a boat to reach the other side of the river where major attractions lie. Worth visiting.

This place has loads of greenery, offers peaceful environment. We took a small boat which took about 7-10 mins to cross river. When we reached their first thing you will notice is stalls near entrance. It does have little beach kind of effect , but that is it....once you enter the actual site....you might notice the strange smell...which is nasty... More

Only thing i liked about the place is the travel through boat to this place. Otherwise it is very dirty & unhygienic place to visit. The place has a huge groove of Banyan Tree but it is not at all maintained. Instead of being a scenic beauty you will more find it as garbage dump. Water of river is also... More

Though the place has lot of value as it is place of Sant Kabir, but it is managed poorly. We need to take a boat to reach Kabirvad from parking lot. These boats are quite risky - at times are overloaded & no safety gears for anybody. The water & base is quite murky. Not worth spending time
