If your in Vadodara (or Baroda), one of the places on your list must be the Laxmi Vilas Palace. Not too far from the city centre and well worth the admission price - 200 INR for Westerners. This gets you inside the palace, and allows you to wander around the grounds - but NOT onto the golf course, be aware.... More

You need 3 -4 hours to visit this great and majestic architecture. Opens from 10am -4 pm except Monday. Ticket costs Rs 200 per person but it's worth a visit. Very well managed with all necessary visitor facilities.

The palace is quite a lavish palace with intricate designs and Indo-European architecture. The entry fee of Rs. 400 (both Indian and foreigners) is bit high compared to Indian standards, however, they provide with a audio guide to all tourists. Visitor timings are from 10 am to 4:30 pm There are only a few rooms open to public. One of... More

Thank you for your visit to the palace. Your observations will help other travellers. One incorrect information provided by you is about the charges. Our charges are Rs.200 per visitor which also includes a 14% service tax , which is payable to the Government. More

The entrance fees is a bit on the higher side. Well maintained structure provides good opportunity for photography, grounds have been converted into a golf course.

Thank you for your visit to our property. Unlike many other tourist locations , our charges include a well documented audio tour. Our tariff also includes a steep 14 % service tax which goes to the government. Thank you for your observations and do visit us again. More

Thank you for your visit. Strange for a baroda resident to think that the Lukshmi Villas Palace is not at par with some of the Rajasthan palaces. Rajasthan royalty is mesmerised by this jewel of Gujarat which is not a hotel yet and therefore does not get foreign tourist to stay in ! Do visit us again once we add... More

Not so great as the Palaces you see in Rajasthan but still a good way to spend time with Kids as the'll love the palatial monuments. Its now mostly turned in a Commercial Property open for Weddings and Events .
