I visited the palace when Yanni performed during Vadfest 2015. I was very impressed with the palace. The lush green gardens surrounding the palace add to its beauty.

A very impressive palace; terrible audio-guide -- the sound in the audio, and the scene in front stop matching after Point 4. The audio-guide in the Armoury was pathetic. I complained in the office, who refused to believe! Bureaucracy, bureaucracy.

The lush green foliage right in the middle of the city sets the theme right from the word go. The entry fee charged was Rs 170 per... More

That's the key word in India, or rather the lack thereof for all historical, archeological places of importance. The concept just does not exist, whether it is a private place like this palace or a public monument. The only exception I have come across in my travels across India is the City Palace in Udaipur. This palace is grandiose no... More

Just could not stop marvelling at the architectural beauty of the palace in the lights. Clicked a number of pictures. The arrangements were being made for the Vadfest starting with performance by Yanni today. I searched for... More

Impressive in Vadodara. I can imagine that most people don't know this exists. Go and visit, learn some history and be proud of India

history and heritage of the gaekwad rulers is very evident. The opulence is for all to see and imagine. The sheer size and scale is impressive. A must see in Vadodara.
