This is a sight to see. The 170 rupee entrance fee allows you access to several rooms in the palace, including the magnificent Darbar Hall and the throne room. The grounds and gardens are stunning. For art enthusiasts, go to Gate 1 and visit the museum - there is a small entry fee for this, too. It has beautiful 16th... More

The palace is one of the best in India. They have an audio guide that takes you through the palace cum museum and tells you everything. The attitude of the staff is very bad - they all think they are Maharajas and visitors the Praja.

Awesome, magnificent, royal..the words fail to describe the beauty of the palace. They charge Rs 175 as a fee and that I think, is overly priced. Other than this, the experience is unforgettable. The fee includes audio tour which is the best part so that one can get the complete insight into the palace and history of Gaikwads'. Very well... More

The palace is simply beautiful and specially for the kit they gave to listen to audio as you see each area. The fees are on a higher side though...even Taj Mahal has less fees

A magnificient creation of a by-gone era!! Indeed a beautiful piece of art and one of the "better maintained heritage structure" of India. Last summer when I visited Austria..was awed by their palace but this beats them all....every wall, every ceiling...a piece of art . The audio commentary too was very good. I sincerely wish that at least one bedroom... More

The abode of the royal family of GAEKWADS, this palace is spread over more than 500 acres of land. It houses one of the best GOLF club in India. The Venue is indeed a dream come true for Golfers. A 9 hole course is strewn with peacocks for company. The palace is open in some sections to the public and presents a glimpse into our heritage. Only some of the 146 rooms or so are open yet conveys eloquently royal pomp. The palace could do with patronage and maintenance... More
