Weekends can get crowded , so best to come on any other day.The ticket cost Rs. 150 and it includes a complimentary audio tour guide in either english , hindi & marathi.Photographs inside the palace are not permitted. You should must visit Laxmi Vilas Palace if you are in Baroda. You'll get to know the royal history of this old city and you'll surely love the heritage maintained by the Royal family of Baroda. Before 2 years i have visited laxmi vilas palace.Its so beautiful from Inside and outside.It have beautiful garden , nice weapons rooms, beautiful carving and they kept all these things so nicely.And for different language they have very nice guide tape .So its really very helpful to foreigners .

The palace is almost in the centre of Vadodara City and there is huge open space all around the palace that has sprawling gardens and golf course in some area. The architecture is majestic and worth a visit if you are in Baroda. Do not miss it! The museum has very good collection of paintings.

One of the grand palaces of INDIA...LOVELY atmosphere...serene beauty...it is situated in the heart of the city...worth visiting if you are visiting Baroda

A majestic palace. Gone there two times. Facade resembling holy places of four religions is quite enchanting. interestingly not many barodians have visited inside the palace. may be because of relatively high entrance price.

Very impressive building. Nice collection of arms. Great work on marble and sandstone. Italian carera marble remind me my trip last year to Viaregio Italy. Good audio guide. Duration 90 min. Very nive treat for painting lovers...great work from ravi verma. Did not see wheel chair access.

I love history and specially how kings used to live etc... And so, I liked this place a lot. Those human size paintings, huge rooms, unique cutlery fascinated me.
