The Venue is indeed a dream come true for Golfers. A 9 hole course is strewn with peacocks for company. The palace is open in some sections to the public and presents a glimpse into our heritage. Only some of the 146 rooms or so are open yet conveys eloquently royal pomp. The palace could do with patronage and maintenance... More

The grandeur of the Palace and the old articture and the way its maintained. The grounds and the statues on the property, and has a lovely Golf Course to add on to the beauty of the place.

Vadodara has as many as 6 different palaces, the LVP stands out as the grandest. The palace itself enshrines the royal family's current domicile, a vast lawn open for private events, a sprawling golf course, the large Darbar Hall, the famous Motibaug Cricket ground, an ancient stepwell, and two museums - The royal armoury museum and Maharaja Fatehsinghrao Museum displaying... The ticket and entry process is well organized. The palace is huge and you ll take at least an hour to see the entire place. However you don't need a guide as you will be provided with a pre recorded audio guide (available in English and Hindi). A must visit if you are in Baroda.

Indeed this is the no. 1 attraction to visit while in Vadodara (Baroda). It is the palace of the last maharaja of Baroda and is indeed impressive, although poorly kept and partly abandoned. The ticketing office is on the opposite side of the road where all the administrative buildings and quarters are located. Tickets are quite expensive considering what are... More
