This is one of the best bird sanctuary in India and more than 100 different species of Bird. Some of the birds are rare and can be found only here. This is place nearest to Jamnagar with distance of only 10 to 15 kms. Worth to go here once in your lifetime.

We visited this place and seen plenty of flemingo birds there. Its a very large sanctuary and we have seen various birds there. You need your own car, bus etc to see the place.

It is a nice place for bird watching. It is a little bit expensive but it is a quiet place away of all trafic so you can watch a lot of birds and animals.

I recently visited Khijadiya for birding trip on 9-Jan and really disappointed to see there is not a single migratory birds. And the reason was scarcity of rain for last two years. All the water bodies are completely dried up. Before visit I tried to clarify the same with Hotel President, where I stayed during the trip. But unfortunately they... More

I visited Khijadiya with my family on Dec 2014. It's really nice place for birdwatchers but lack of water resulted in very few sightings. We were lucky enough to find demosile cranes in our entry only, very near by on road. Watching them taking flight was a wonderful moment! Govt should look into it that water is their for birds!... Visited this place specially in winter for the birding. Sorry to say not much sighting. No monsoon. It rained in Gujrat but nothing in Jamnagar. We were told that Reliace refinery burns coal so the clouds do not stay there they open up and hence no rain at all. If the Govt is promoting tourism and we want and environment... More

Nice place for bird watchers in this region. This place is having fresh water as well as salt water bodies. You have to start early from home for watching large no of birds. If you reach there nearly at sun rise it's really heaven for you. As the sun rises high in the sky chances are less to spot birds.... More
