Khijadia Bird sanctuary is an unique place offering fresh water and marine water bird sighting at a single place. Best time to go there is in Winter, early morning or in late evening. One can see hundreds of birds like pelicans, flamingos, kingfisher, horon etc. There is small museums developed by government before the starting of Sanctuary, where u can see the statue and photos of birds and their egg that one will probaly see it in Sanctuary.

huge bird sanctuary- we saw hundreds of flamingos, cranes and ducks. very clean, well organized with viewing towers as well. hard to believe that you are still in india. saw herons, kingfishers, egrets and even a few neelgai (deers). amazing place- highly recommended to anyone visiting jamnagar.

250+ varieties of birds and still not on tourist map . Rather surprising . A must visit place for bird lovers . Pelicans , Heron , Kingfisher , flamingos , snake bird - you name it and they are there and in great number . Guides are good and very knowledgeable.

This is awesome place to see birds in their natural habitat. It is almost 20 minutes away from Jamangar on way to Rajkot and easily accessible. a great place to see so many birds safe and the viewing stands are a great place to have a picnic ,please do carry back what you empty .also visit the bird museum at the entrance as it tells you what is there inside overall a good exp[erience

best time to visit in winter dec to feb in the early morning. u can spot variety of birds in their natural habitat like kingfisher , pink pelicans etc etc be silent observer and listen to the music of birds get urself equipped with binoculars and cameras . just 12 km away from Jamnagar nr khijadia bypass on Jamnagar-Rajkot highway.

I went to the sanctuary inspired by photographs taken by Amish Patel (Find him on FB). Equipped with a zoom lens I went to the the Sanctuary if i could capture a few good images.
