If you want to be away from the typical goan tourism, palolem is the right place for you...the place offers peace and a well mannered crowd.I had an excellent time there. Very less indian crowd, hippie culture, clean beaches, not many water activities/sports.. and a beautiful view...!!! although not a fun place for children..they'll still have a good time there... thats... Accomodation:- You want concrete on the beach front....the only concrete on offer is at Gunu Paradise. They have sunbeds too! Not on the internet so you pretty much have to go there in person although they di advertise a phone number. Walk down the street leading to the beach and then turn left (south) just past Cocktails and Dreams. Boss... More

We came here in April, and while it was very hot, the breeze was refreshing and it seemed that the majority of places on the beach were still open. Coming during low season means you get more of the beach to yourself and get better rates on the huts, though the restaurants and shops tend to start getting desperate to... More

A visit to Palolem forced me to think about the Anjuna beach of the 80's! It was full of overseas tourists and shacks which serves some wonderful food. On the negative side, it is about 2 hours by road from Madgaon.

I'd been to almost every beach during my goa adventure, but palolem just took my heart away! It is best place to be at. Not much crowded though very energetic. I liked doing yoga & meditation near the beach at a school daily. The school was Yog Nisarga. The environment of palolem took my heart away!

Based on reviews here and elswhere my girlfriend and I chose to stay at Palolem for eight days. We stayed at Ciaran's (great). Make sure to eat at least once at Dropadi, fabolous! The beach itself is priceless. however I honestly didn't expect it to be as crowded as it was on some days. You will still have plenty of... More

Been there with few of friends.Found it much better than north beaches which are usually very crowded. Very nice , friendly shacks and nice calm sea waves to enjoy a bit of swimming as well. Over all woyld rate highest among all the goa beaches.
