It was 2nd August 2015, Sunday, 1:45 PM at Kulem railway station (We (Me and my wife) drove in car from palolem to kullem, all the time being optimistic of finding some way to reach the prized destination in monsoon), we had lost all hopes of making it to the falls, adding further to the desperation was policing around castle... Hi Guys I am just planning to visit Dudhsagar Falls(Railway Trek ) this September 2015 . Is it safe going there in season because I could see many reviews stating like People are not allowed to trek on railway track towards Dudhsagar this season. So I request you to please suggest me regarding this.

I visited the Dudhsagar falls in Aug'2015. Please note that there had been couple of unfortunate incidents in last 2 weeks and hence the falls can only be seen only through the passing train. We were knowing that there are 3 options to reach the falls. However, with the above incidents the options are very limited .Let me elaborate here:... More

December is not really the right time to visit waterfalls anywhere in India.. This time I was on a bike trek to dudhsagar from panjim and back.. The falls were not as mighty as they are around the monsoons.. I would say the falls are best experienced from the train or the track trek from the castle rock station..

This was my first ever trek and it was a wonderful experience. The whole trek comprises of walking on railway tracks, which was a total of 16kms. It is a bit of a risky trek considering it rains any time and the trains appear out of nowhere. Please visit at your own risk.
