We had a taxi driver to take us from Candolim and paid him £25 for the day. He was very helpful stopping off at a small crossroads town before Dudhsagar so that we could buy snacks, drinks (cold cans 25p) and bananas (60p for a big bag) to eat at the falls. There's a bit of to-ing and fro-ing paying... More

Dudhsagar Falls. Dudhsagar Waterfalls are at a distance of about 80 Km from Candolim/Calangute/Baga beaches. The road till there is smooth , though its advisable to avoid two wheelers. Kms of highway on the way, and similar to regular Indian intercity highways. Now comes the waterfall area. The cars are parked 11 km before the waterfall. From there, you have... More

My friend and I originally booked a day trip to see the old town, spice plantantion and the waterfalls. This was supposedly going to be in a 6 seater vehicle with other English speaking people. Anyway once we got picked up in a 30 seater bus full of Russians we realised this was not the case, as soon as we... More

We went to Dudhsagar Falls while returning from our Goa trip. We had gone there in mid-October when due to excess water in the river, the proper road is closed; hence we had to go in bikes which were driven by experts. The final lab was a mountain trek, which had to be covered by foot..Nevertheless, an enjoyable experience after... More

The waterfall is in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary. Allegedly the 5th highest fall in India. A mainline railway con-sects the falls halfway up,the view from the trains must be spectacular, The plunge pool is large and has many Large carp in it, take some bread or biscuits and throw in, to watch the water boil. Swimming is encouraged with lifeguards... More

Dudhsagar Falls is on the way to Goa from Bangalore. If traveling through train, we can see while passing by and the train also goes slowly as it passes the falls. We can see it from both the side, first on left then after a curve on the right side. Since it was dry season couldn't see much water but... More
