Description: Know your farmer, know your food! Ever wonder what a super food is? Do you...
Know your farmer, know your food! Ever wonder what a super food is? Do you know the climate of Alamogordo is identical to Iran? Eagle Ranch is a self contained agribusiness which means that everything that is done to the crop, from start to finish, is done right here on the premises. Our most popular attraction, the FREE farm tour, offers visitors a behind the scenes look at harvesting and processing pistachios while providing unusual and little known facts about one of America's favorite snacks. The tour takes about forty-five minutes. You will visit the field, the processing plant, the salting and roasting facility, as well as our packaging and shipping departments. It's a walking tour with wheelchair accessibility. Don't forget to leave plenty of time to visit our gift shop. We offer FREE samples of our pistachio products and candies, as well as our award winning wines. Enjoy a glass of wine or pistachio ice cream on The Grove Patio overlooking the pistachio trees. The Grove Patio is even available for private events. Free Tours Daily June - August: Monday through Friday, twice a day at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM September - May: Monday through Friday at 1:30 PM Groups: We are happy to accommodate groups of 10 or more by appointment. Buses Welcome!

We stopped here because, well it was right there. The staff were really patient with the kids, and didn't mind that we tried lots of the different bits on offer. We didn't try all the wines, but bought and enjoyed the "popular one" that was the equivalent of a house wine - just pleasant to drink a few days later.... More

Stopped here on a whim as we drove by and were thoroughly impressed with both the wines and pistachios. Definitely worth a short stop.

Went with the kids and wife and we liked the visit. The shop has many things to buy and the prices are about what you would expect. The girls that work there are very friendly. Pistachios are really good, I could eat up a pound alone. They have a lot of pistachio items for sale, so stop by.

This free walking tour showed how the nuts are taken from the trees and then processed. They take you into the factory and show you the processing machines and what each does. They then walk you through their cold storage room where all the packaged product is stored. I loved the smell of the chocolate covered nuts in this room.... More

We went on the tour to see how the pistachios were sorted and cooked. It was interesting to see how they don't over-machinize their process. You'll have to see for yourself -- and get some ice cream while you are there.

I have never had so many choices of products with Pistachios! I never knew how wonderfully well they blend in and enhance food! When we go to Alamogordo we make our pilgrimage to Eagle Ranch and stock up! We buy at least 10 bags of the nuts in various flavors. (we also send them for gifts to friends and clients...... More

If you are in the area, you must stop here. Lots of varieties of flavored Pistachios plus pistachio bark, and other candy. My wife enjoyed the gift shop and purchased a couple items besides the pistachios. We arrived late and missed the tour, but it was still worth stopping here.

These pistacios are delicious. All flavors. I send packages to my relatives all over and they look forward to receiving them. I moved 600 miles away but still buy them online. Good Pistacios and good service always.

I make it a point to stop here every visit we make to Ruidoso, NM. They have a wonderful and delicious selection of pistachios and brittle that they make there. And a added bonus wine tasting. The staff is great there too. There's been a few times when we've showed up really close to closing and they have stayed open... More
