Know your farmer, know your food! Ever wonder what a super food is? Do you know the climate of Alamogordo is identical to Iran? Eagle Ranch is a self contained agribusiness which means that everything that is done to the crop, from start to finish, is done right here on the premises. Our most popular attraction, the FREE farm tour, offers visitors a behind the scenes look at harvesting and processing pistachios while providing unusual and little known facts about one of America's favorite snacks. The tour takes about forty-five minutes. You will visit the field, the processing plant, the salting and roasting facility, as well as our packaging and shipping departments. It's a walking tour with wheelchair accessibility. Don't forget to leave plenty of time to visit our gift shop. We offer FREE samples of our pistachio products and candies, as well as our award winning wines. Enjoy a glass of wine or pistachio ice cream on The Grove Patio overlooking the pistachio trees. The Grove Patio is even available for private events. Free Tours Daily June - August: Monday through Friday, twice a day at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM September - May: Monday through Friday at 1:30 PM Groups: We are happy to accommodate groups of 10 or more by appointment. Buses Welcome!

We visited in Spring, as the treea are leafing out. We could taste all the nuts and wines. Our helper was knowledgeable and kindly attentive. The cabernet sauvingnon is good, the rest of the wines are rather sweet after that. The video has heavy accented narrators making it hard to understand. The flavored nuts are yummy, the tour is at... This is a very pretty and upscale market for many flavors of their own pistachios. They encourage sampling of their many varieties. We tried and bought their roasted and unsalted and their chile flavored nuts, both excellent. And their pistachio ice cream is fantastic. We did not try their wine produced nearby from their own grapes. A tour of the... More

We'd just left McGinn's Pistachio Ranch after being treated rudely, and hoped we'd find friendlier people here. We did! We were greeted warmly, and while looking around, staff interacted with us, and we felt welcome. The shop is great, full of nice gifts, not 'touristy' stuff. We looked over the selection of pistachios neatly shelved, and went to the sample... More

I live in Oklahoma, but have kids stationed at Holloman AFB and I've been stopping by for a very long time. My son gave me my first bag of Pistachios from there. I was hooked! Through the years, the gift shop has grown and added a wonderful line of gift products along with the a great wine selection and tours.... More

I drive down from ABQ for the wine and nuts. Worth every mile! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Sort of like visiting family.

No artificial colors or preservatives in these pistachios, which didn't surprise me as they are a supplier to our local Whole Foods. Very clean and appealing store with friendly and attentive employees. Samples were offered generously in a sanitary way over the counter. We bought red chili pistachios, red chili peanut brittle and tortugas (turtles) - all delicious. Unfortunately, we... More

If you're in Alamagordo, NM you've got to stop at the Eagle ranch Pistachio Groves/Heart of the desert. It's a beautiful location . We took the one hour tour starting at 1:30pm. Toured the whole operation from Trees to processing and packaging and then sales! excellent tour. Lots of samples of both the Pistachios and also, the wine. Really informative!

I'm usually not pro-NM wines, but these guys are awesome! Their gypsy heart or wandering gypsy or whatever the name was. (It involved gypsy in either English or Spanish.) It was a nice flavorful dry red. Their nuts are also tasty. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the chile flavored pistachios. Their toffee was also very good. The only reason... More

This is a great place to sample different flavors of pistachios. Besides the normal roasted and salted, they have red chili, green chili with onion, extra hot red chili, and several other kinds of pistachios. They let you sample each kind. The pistachio candies are delectable also. We bought trees from here last year and bought more from them this... More
