Most of the animals were sleeping, or where you could not see them. The cages the animals are in do leave something to be desired. The woman working in the gift shop was friendly and very helpful. I took my young niece and nephew and they however loved it. The playground and somewhere to have lunch are great when you... More

Small but very fun. Has a great picnic area and playground to go along with visiting the animals. Loved it!

Fortunately, it only costs a few dollars to get in. We had read that this zoo featured exotic animals as well as animals from the area. We wanted to see the museum more to see the animals from the area as we are from Canada. But I would say that probably the only animal that you have in the nature... More

This little zoo offers a nice array of endangered type animals, birds and reptiles. It was pretty warm when we were there and the animals were not very active but we were able to see most of them. They were excited to see the staff show up with lunch! A couple of the animals looked like they needed to have... More

For thirty years our family had enjoyed this zoo because the animals and their good care came first. Now the animals are being abused by the unbelievable clamor from huge crowds of screaming kids and loud, often smoking parents. The once enjoyable to all zoo has become an amusement park for the masses and is being used for all sorts... More

I've lived in Alamogordo almost 20 years and this is the first visit to the Zoo in 15. A lot of big changes have occurred and many are being worked as construction throughout the zoo continues. The visiting school kids seemed to enjoy all the animals, playground and picnic areas. Worth the time to stop and visit. $2.50 for adults...

This park is small but the animals are so cute. The monkeys are playful and the petting areas allow the children to get close to the animals. Plus there is plenty of room for a picnic and for the kids to play.

It wasn't exactly the San Diego Zoo, but it was quite nice for a small town zoo! You can tell that the staff there work very hard keeping everything looking nice. My kids, 6 & 9, seemed to like it and the play ground areas. The gift shop is neat as well!

Not huge but displays and animals are well chosen. Big cats were playing chase and attack with each other, huge plus. Good layout for family picnics and birthday partys. $3 for my wife and I to get in, where else are you going to get that value of enterainment? Traveling thru town? Stop there for an hour or two and... More
