This zoo never claims to compete with the bigger zoos. Most of the animals it has are there because they were rescued and the zoo is their permanent home. Its only two or three dollars to get in but what a nice surprise once you go in! Its mostly if not all shaded, the grounds are well kept and they... More

All the animals were great! Especially the black swans. The clerk at the gift shop was friendly and was very informative on the animals there.

From the outside it seems very small, once we got in we spent about 3 hours just looking at the animals. Love that we didn't walk 2 miles, everything was close. They had different animals together in some enclosures which made it really neat. Squirrels were running all over and the pigeons were fun to feed, of which neither were... More

I felt sorry for the animals that must live in the small cages. However, there are positives-- there is a nice playground for children and the grounds of the Zoo are clean.

This is my favorite zoo in the world. I bug my husband constantly to visit again. It's completely charming and delightful.

I'm not a huge fan of zoos. The animals here are injured and either recuperating or not able to get better. It's nice they have a place to be where they are safe. Little kids will definitely enjoy this zoo, and it's easy to walk around.

This was a fun zoo to visit. There were lots of animals I had never seen before in a zoo. It was big enough to see lots of animals, but not so big to be overwhelming.

We visited the zoo last week while vacationing in Ruidoso. We had a 1 1/2 year old with us so we were looking for a few fun things to do for him. The weather was perfect and most of the animals were out. We enjoyed spending an hour or more walking around the zoo! Definitely a must for people traveling... More

I love to visit small town zoos and this one did not disappoint. It was very small and there were mostly birds. However, bald eagles, an alligator, lemurs and black swans made it a fun place to spend an hour. Plus it is only $2.50 for adults.
