We have visited Chandigarh twice and both times, we have gone to the lake. First time, we did boating and second time, we just roamed around. It's a nice place. Though it's crowded, it was nice to be there.

Must see for all tourists. Though it can be crowded on certain days, it is nevertheless a must see. Try boating or just walk around till the far end. Prefer going in the evening in summers, in winters any time of the day is good.

Chandigarh is a beautiful and peaceful city. Sukhna Lake is like the diamond on the ring. We were a team of three people on an assignment in Chandigarh and once we were through with the days work we decided to visit the Sukhna Lake. Not too far from where we were staying it was easy to locate. The most impressive... More

Sukhna Lake located in Chandigarh, India is an artificial lake at the foothills of the Himalayas. However its so big that at first view you will not able to think that its artificial. In my view it's one of the best places to visit if you are in Chandigarh ( off course after Rock Garden). Please plan to visit this place either in mornings or evenings... More

Its a man made lake (big pond). Lots of eateries around and activities for children. Gets very crowded but overall an enjoyable time can be spent.

This artificial lake has some real importance for chandigarh. The best time to witness is during early morning...people of all religions, ages, shapes and sizes gather here for a ritual so deeply associated with Sukhna lake.. It's the morning walk. Some walk real fast, other just maintain a decent pace. You will also find groups of runners. To my mind... More

The most amazing place to laze around in Chandigarh with your partner. The boat ride is very nice. You can spend hours to together see the beautiful sunset.

This small lake is really beautiful, nicely contrasting the foothills of Himalaya's. we enjoyed it as a family. if you are going to visit, go in the early part of the evening, however, beware as most of Chandigarh comes here for a walk in the evening to cool off. The area is keep really clean and free from usual food... More

A bit of LA in the Punjab! Jogging tracks, revelers by the lake side etc. Not typical Punjab but great fun to amble and people watch.
