Every city has its own charm and speciality. Vizag has the submarine museum, one of its kind in India (and I think all south east Asia). It is open from 2:30 to 8 PM on weekdays and 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM on sundays and public holidays. Do take time out to see how a submarine looks from inside, learn... More

The Submarine Museum is excellent and only after seeing one gets an idea what a noble service our defence personnel are doing and in what condition they operate. The small space they live in, eat and sleep. Of Course the operations under water with constant risk.

This museum is one of a kind. It was a good experience to be within a submarine once used by the Indian Navy and walk through it.

The machine and the make were so suphosticated, couldnt imagine how human could develop this . Truely , need is the mother of inventions. Great to know how people survive in there.

You have to buy a video camera ticket for Rs. Two Hundred for taking video even by your cell phone, otherwise every staff inside the museum threaten to confiscate your phone!! One b.a.s.t.a.r.d. even snatched my phone as I've got a Rs. 50 Camera ticket. They virtually ruin your tour as virtually every guy reminds you to take a camera... More

rude guide heard a mouthful from me too! It is a quick tour (takes less than 10 minutes) with each guy reminding you that you should get a ticket for the camera or else it will be confiscated...morons

A very enriched experience for us. We loved the guide showing and telling us the history and technicalities of the submarine.

Excellent opportunity to see a submarine. Well maintained, good guide. Our armed forces make so much sacrifice to ensure our security. Great initiative of our Navy to convert this into a museum and allowing public to visit.
