The museum is basically an old submarine used during 1971 war. The sheer size of it was amazing. Not to miss experience. Takes about ten minutes to see the insides.

This museum is a good opportunity to see how a submarine looks from inside. It is an actual submarine retired from service of Indian Navy. Amazing experience of a lifetime. Must see for all. Feast for defence enthusiasts...! The guides are all veteran submariners, spare a minute to talk to them, they have fantastic stories. Suggestion: please put a board mentioning that the guides are actually submariners! They could actually wear full uniform, they deserve the respect, they've earned it!

Visited this submarine in March 2014, during a business visit to Vizag. The submarine has been decommissioned in 2001 and has now been converted into a museum. The location is on the beach road. The submarine is divided into 7 compartments and ex-naval personnel take you through each of these compartments explaining the various nuances and technicalities. The entire trip... More
