The caves were indeed spectacular. They are well maintained, clean and pretty cool with water in the rocks. The size of these caves is spectacular.

The visit is bit adventurous. The presence of stalactites and stalagmites form an additional effect. The depth is also much resulting to a number of steps going down. Overall, its a very good effect and value for money.

It looks amazing when you start thinking how the cave got formed under the layers of stones of the hill outside. It's basically of limestone/marble, which is also the reason of the natural forms (stalactites and stalagmites) created inside the cave.

Borra caves did not excite me as I have already seen few of such caves before, like the one in Chirapunjee (Meghalaya), Shiv Kori (Jammu), Bathu (Malaysia).

Amazing experience. We had never seen anything like this before. Thanks to AP Tourism, they have beautifully lit the caves and maintained it well. Borra caves is a Natural Cave which is marvelous. We travelled by road in own Car on 30 March 2014 alongwith my wife and children. All of us enjoyed a lot. We have been to Padmapuram Gardens also. The way to Arakku valley is scenic and adventurous.

Borr Caves are located about 90 mins by car from Visakhapatnam. The legend goes that the caves were buried under a hill, which had an opening at the top.Once a cow fell into the hole and disappeared. After 24 hours it resurfaced and was alive. On exploration it was found that a river was flowing under the hil. The cow fell inside... More
