It was a Small weekend trip.We started from Hyderabad Friday 5.30 pm (via bus) to Vizag. We did not want to stress ourselves by driving all way long. Kesineni bus was on perfect time. If you are with the family or with friends ,just make it a point to spend a weekend here.Only thing i suggest take time to explore this place and what you get in return is you will be part of Nature and will be at peace.Relax & Enjoy the so called Nature

A very. pleasant stay.Tribal museum,Padma gardens and water falls are really worth full to visit.Travel by train is enchanting.

Araku valley is around 90 km from Vishakhapatnam and the road is good. The drive is very picturesque along the ghat road with undulating terrain, hills and streams along the way. We stopped at the APTDC resort at Tyda,called "Jungle Bells" for tea and bought some wonderful Etikoppa wooden toys. Araku valley Tribal Museum is also worth a visit-it has... More

Araku valley, a very good place to visit with family. There are no much places to visit near by but if we want to enjoy the calm and serene nature you can go. I love nature so i enjoyed a lot. Araku is a good weekend getaway from neighboring locations in and around Andhra and Telangana. Araku is easily accessible by road and rail. I drove through Hills and dangerous bends to get at this place. After reaching there I was shocked, nothing to do or see. It's just a valley, that's it. If you are going with friends and family and are staying there for a couple of days then it's OK. But it's a big no for drive and back type thing...
