It being Christmas time, the cute little church on Ross hill was decked up, with a crib erected and festoons fluttering. This was the only church we have ever seen anywhere in the world where Jesus and Mary could be found wearing marigold garlands. Effects of cross-cutting cultures?

Situated on a hill top, very close to the Port. Unique because it was perched on a hill - which also has a Muslim place of worship and a Hindu Shrine (Lord Venkateswara). 3 Faiths sharing a common location. Then the authorities decided to cut up the hill to accommodate the ever-expanding Port. Yet the views from the Top are... More

A drive up the hill on Sunday to get a panaromic view of the harbour ,the temple and the mosque, and the port on the right side. The peaceful atmosphere is very soothing and helps one to reflect into our inner selves.
