A likely first halt point for a trip around Charminar or Laad Bazaar. Allow yourself approx. 30 minutes to take a round of the Tomb's and the exterior of the Mosque. Do not forget to feed the pigeons ...if you are lucky they may even stand on your shoulder or out streched arm for feed. Morning time 6-7 am are... More

Situated close to charminar, this is a famous masjid. Not a place of attraction though. During the prayer times, the place will be crowded, other times, mostly the pigeons make the major population.

It is the oldest mosque in Hyderabad and is close to the other place of importance in Hyderabad- the Charminar and Chowmahalla Palace. The remarkable structure built in granite with beautiful interiors is one place you must visit. It derives it's name from the stones used for construction- all bought from the holy city of Mecca

Bad Maintainence, poor quality of water in the water tank. Even though the mosque is historic, it is in a very bad and pathetic state. Sad to see this state of affairs. I dont think that it was in this way when the nawabs were ruling the state.

Mecca Masjid is located very close by to Hyderabad's iconic Char Minar attraction. Don't worry overly about the sign at the front that says that you're requested to wear a hejab (ladies) and no T'shirts. It's a request and not compulsory. You may be given a scarf to cover up to the requisite extent.

The mosque is big but you are not allowed to go beyond certain point. Videograph is not allowed. However still photographs are allowed. The just opp to Charminar and this place is fully populated by muslim. The place is not hygienic too. You can buy frutis for very cheap.
