Salar Jung Museum has vast collection of various paintings, sculptures, items of historic importance. Moreover, it is organized neatly, and is very spacious. There are enough benches / chairs if you want to take a break. One must not miss this out if they are visiting Hyderabad for vacation.

A Must see if one is a history buff. A very enriching experience! Entry as I recall is Rs 10 and Rs 50 for a still camera. Took an Audio guide, available just as you enter the museum, for Rs 60. If in a rush, the must see sections are listed in green on the map that you get with... More

The guide told us stories of kings and the articles on display. The main attractions were good like the veiled Rebecca statue, the double sided statue and the clock. Very young kids may get bored. The good thing is you can buy snacks to energize urself. And toilet is not too bad.

It is unbelievable that the entire collection belongs to Salar Jung III. The museum has numbers of galleries consisting of Eastern and Western articles. No doubt that it is the prime attraction of Hyderabad.

While the museum in itself could have been better maintained..however it does give a glimpse of the very rich history Hyderabad has...Veiled Rebecca just blew me away and some of the other rooms like miniature paintings, walking sticks were interesting..it's amazing to see how the Hyderabad royalty managed to accumulate such a wealth of artifacts and collectibles

In a very crowded area.. Consists mostly of old pictures. Visit when the weather is pleasant. You may club your visit here with Chaar Minar.

Hard to believe that this is one family's collection. They have such an extensive collection of Chinese Porcelain- that it makes what are very rare items e.g. Ming vases seem common place. Make sure to visit their Jade collection. The presentation of the material is poor. Given all the amazing talent in India its sad that institutions like this have... More
