The museum is having such collection that one needs to spend whole day. Worth visiting with young children. Very very interesting and informative especially for the people having interest to know about the history and the culture of different countries and communities. The time clock is a must see which rings hourly in a magnificent style. Visitors needs to learn... More

Pay 50 rupees when buying tickets, ensure you have a new memory card, and then snap away, you will not see most of the stuff here anywhere else. My favorite section is the Porcelain [East and West] in the vast first floor. My wife preferred the furniture section of course. The public was fascinated with the arms and coats of... More

An excellent collection of Nizam's era and other vital pieces of history. One can combine it with visit to charminar and other authentic places to get Hyderabadi biryani and irani chai cafes

- Great building on the outside - The displays are not well displayed, quite disappointing - The Government has painted displays with serial numbers making many artifacts look tacky, cheap and like trinkets - Many displays are poorly lit, or are not explained well - The rooms don't have enough seating so if you want to take a break, you... The musical clock is THE attraction at this museum; but that's not all-there's loads of stuff to interest everyone-from the statue of the veiled Rebecca to furniture to porcelain & paintings. Well laid out in different sections, with a map of the place for easy access to everything. Requires at least half a day to glimpse all the exhibits.

You can spend hours at this place and not get bored. You should not miss the clock which is present in the atrium of the ground floor. It is like a cuckoo clock which chimes every hour. In order to get the best seats, come ~ 15 minutes prior to each hour. For e.g. by 2:45 pm for the 3... More

I decided to give it a 5 star rating the minute I saw the 'Veiled Rebecca' statue. Absolute beauty. Also the whole museum is an amazing insight into history. Got a feeling of time very well spent. 10/10 must visit if you're in Hyderabad.

Visited the museum in December 2010 at the recommendation of a colleague. Lots to see and the design of the museum is very efficient.
