One on the list of places that make up old Hyderabad

Mediocre causeway, stinking waters. The pride of Hyderabad requires a reboot. Hope that plans for large buildings in the neighbourhood doesn't spoil the place further.

This road is very beautifully designed with statues on one side and the beautiful Hussain Sagar Lake on the other side. Its a road on which you must travel at-least once when you visit the city.

The Tank Bund Road runs between Hyderabad and Secunderabad, Telangana, India. The Tank Bund dams Hussain Sagar Lake on the eastern side and connects the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It has become an attraction with 33 statues of famous people of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana [1] erected by N.T. Rama Rao, former chief minister of andhra pradesh. This lower... More

Tank Bund is a connecting link between Secunderabad and Hyderabad, the twin cities, over the Hussain Sagar. The whole stretch is well maintained and is a pleasant journey over it. You can view the famous Buddha statue in the Hussain Sagar and the statues of great poets etc., belonging to Telugu culture. This is a very good stretch to walk... More

The Tank Bund is the dam that retains the huge Hussainsagar Reservoir and provides a beautiful waterside road to connect the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. This has been one of the few rare spots of entertainment and relaxation for the older generations of Hyderabadis when there were not many public places to spend their leisure times. Apart from... A busy thoroughfare connecting the cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad, the Tank Bund has lost some of its erstwhile sheen due to negligent maintenance and upkeep of the pavements and the small lawns on it. Enjoy a boat and or a Ferry ride from the Lumbini Park side and visit the Gautam Buddha statue in the middle of the lake.

Once upon a time, it was a kind of a barrage made to check the inflow and outflow of Hussain Sagar. You won't be able to see any part of the barrage though, all you can see is the road on the side of the lake. Its ok for an evening stroll but not a late night one as the... More

Built in 16th Century, tankbund is located east side of Hussainsagar lake. Presently accommodating 33 statues of AP and Telangana, it is good place to spend time in the evening, although due to vehicular traffic, there is pollution issue. You can enjoy the Buddha Statue from this. Pak's one Pattan Tank is also here, which Indian Army captured in 1971 war.
