On the 'Naubat pahad', approx 280 feets height. Fabulous place for both religious reasons as well as scenic views. Was built by Ramakrishna mission people. The idol of presiding deity Lord Venkateswara is approx 11 feet, beautifully carved on granite stone. While coming back, do not forget to visit the science museum, it is very close.

Its a peaceful and serene place, beautiful temple. From top you can see the picturesque view of Hussain sagar. Evening view is the best.

Wherever I go visit at least one temple in that area. It gives me the peace of mind. It also shows the culture of the region. When I went to the Hyderabad I experienced the same at Birla Mandir its located near by Ravindra Bharathi.

There are many Birla mandirs throughout India. This one is typical to them. It is on top of a hill so there is a little bit of a climb unless you have a car to take you all the way up there. The height allows you to get good view of the city. As is common in Birla mandirs there... More

I visited Birla temple with my mom and it turned out to be much better than expected. Alongwith the magnanimity of the temple structure, the beautiful lake view takes the breath away for any first timer. Truly outstanding!
