It is built entirely out of white marble from Rajasthan and took ten years to build. It is a shrine to Lord Venkateshwara. There... More

This is the place were you find the pure art of marble in the city. The elevation of this temple is so perfectly planned that you will almost be able to see the entire city.

I went to Birla Mandir in January 2015. The weather was bit hot however as soon as we reached the Mandir it had a serene ambiance. The white marble temple has a very soothing effect. There are many stairs before you get to the temple so might be bit tiring one for elder ones but it is one the nicest... More

Great view from top of the Mandir. Serene ambiance. Wonderful view of the city from the top as it is situated at a height. Need to climb stairs to get access to the temple. Situated in the centre of the city. Easy access by road- car or rickshaw. Try to visit during sunset time.

Peaceful and impressive, but best seen late on a weekday. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds and commotion when arriving at 8 PM on a Monday. It is a little disconcerting to surrender your shoes and phone, but that is part of the price associated with visiting an active temple.
