We visited Birla Mandir in February 2016. The place is beautiful, clean and has a unique architecture. The temple looks beautiful, but the view of Hyderabad from the top of the temple is mesmerizing. Alas! they do not permit you to take Camera or Mobile inside the premises.

If you wish to have a panoramic view of Hyderabad, You should go to see the beautiful Birla Mandir built on a 280 feet-high hillock called Naubath Pahad or Kala Pahad. This is located in the heart of the city overlooking another tourist attraction, the Hussain Sagar, which has a bridge across it called Tank Bund. This bridge connects the... More

Prefer a working day so that you have less Rush & time to have 'Darshana' at ease. Take a sharing auto from the other side to go to Lumbini park for just 10/- rupees per person

Located on a hillock, the view is beautiful once you climb the stairs. White marble structures, elegance in all its splendour. You have little temples all around, and the main God, Venkateshwara, is worth the effort. Though the line is long, the statue is amazingly decorated. I'm a non-believer yet I loved the place. And you have a nice open... More

Birla Mandir is a live testimony of the signature locations that Hyd has. Wonderful location on the top of a hill . Huge Balaji blessing his devotees. Wonderful city view and Hussain Sagar lake from the temple ... Cameras and camera phones strictly not allowed... Lift facility for aged people...

Too many stairs and little to offer in terms of the 'divine feel'. Its more of a monument than a temple. It does provide a good view of the surroundings.

This was by far one of the coolest places I've visited in Hyderabad. It's a temple created by a business man because he thought there weren't any prevalent temples in the area. It's all marble and extremely popular with locals who want to pray to one of the many gods depicted. The unfortunate thing is that you cannot take any... More
