I visited with my wife and had a great time. The place is calm and in the heart of the city which makes the temple easily accessible. The temple is very nicely built in midst of Rocky terrain and one has to climb up some stairs. The temple is very neat and tidy. Ample place for families to sit and... More

Birla temple is nice place to have cerene atmosphere among busy city life . Nice built temple. The temple manifests a blend of Dravidian, Rajasthani and Utkala architectures. It is constructed of 2000 tons of pure white marble. The granite idol of presiding deity Lord Venkateswara is about 11 ft (3.4 m) tall and a carved lotus forms an umbrella... More

All Birla Mandirs by and large are same. Same white marble and same crowed ... nothing much special ... this one is bit up hill and good spot to be.

A very beautiful temple situated at top of a hillock, gives a good view of the city. The temple is very well maintained. We went in the evening, the weather was great, the surroundings were very clean and the view of the city was adding a great deal to the ambiance.

This is probably our favourite Hindu Temple so far in India and Sri Lanka. The purity of the white marble was just amazing. The whole temple is white marble with stunning engravings and carvings. The complex is well maintained and there is shoe and locker services. You couldn't take any photos which was a shame but it is a temple you... More

The climb up to the temple is interesting as you pass through some laneways lined with small outlets selling everything Indian. Before entering the temple you must take your shoes off and leave them in a cloakroom. Cameras and phones are not permitted. You then have to climb up a pathway and several stairs to get the top. The problem... More
