Just beautiful! People are friendly. Beach is small but clean, many things to do there. More

We enjoyed Roatan very much. We snorkeling Half Moon Bay twice and saw amazing amounts of fish. Beware of boat traffic and note that it's quite a swim out to the reef. West Bay looked nicer but if cruise ships are in it's crowed and the marine park rangers limit access to the reef. More

The people are nice, and we did not feel any fear wherever we went. Diving and snorkeling were awesome. We enjoyed the zip line, the iguana farm and the mangrove tunnel( in a rustic boat) tour. More

If you are willing to step out of the box a little, Roatan might be just for you. It is a little island off the coast of Honduras and is still in the beginnings of development, so the amenities are a far cry from someplace like Hawaii....but that's part of the charm! If you go to Cozumel or other similar islands, why go to Roatan? There is less of everything in Roatan. Nice people. More
