The waterfall that is a must

We cycled to Lavenia and then did the 2 hour hike (each way at a slow pace), which is flat and a good path to the waterfall. What a special place this is. There is no road, and for the less fit you can go by boat to it. We swam in the falls, and jumped off the rocks. What... More

We didn't do the walk as my friend had a previous ankle injury, however, after hiring a car, and literally driving to the end of the road which ends in the village of Lavena, we we welcomed with hot tea and pancakes, and then an excellent boat trip around to one of the waterfalls. Very entertaining, fun and spectacular! Lovely... More

It was a rainy day when we went to see the waterfalls but even though it was raining it was still worth while doing the walk which runs along the coast before heading inland. It is a easy walk and anyone of any fitness could do it if in no hurry. A definite place to visit.

It is a long bumpy road to Lavena but worth it to do this lovely coastal walk. The track is well marked so you don't need a guide. You pass a village along the way. The track is mainly in the shade but bring a hat as well. It was so nice to see the coastal forest and the ocean.... More

It was lovely, very peaceful and relaxing walk! Everything is lush and green. Our tour guide was fun to talk to, and very experienced.

Easy (mostly flat)1.5 hour walk (each way) from Lavena village to Wainibau waterfall, with breathtaking scenery along the way. It's possible to kayak back, but the day we were there the sea would have been way too rough! You can also hire a guide, though the path is easy and well-marked.

The views were amazing and the walk was exhilarating. The trail takes you right into a village of very friendly people.

A very nice experience between a green jungle and the sea. The walk is amazing, not too difficult but need to bring solar cream and lots of water, it may be hot and trees do not cover all the walk

Unbelievable views, truely what you would expect from an authentic Fiji experience. Knowledgeable guides, well worth the bumpy gravel road to get there (but thats part of the experience). Not very strenuous, almost anybody can do it. Includes a suspension bridge crossing!

Lavena Coastal Walk begins at the end of the road leading to Bouma National Heritage Park, Taveuni Island. Main attractions are the walk through nature, spectacular waterfalls and swimming in crystal clear mountain water pools and for the bold and the brave, a boat ride on a rough sea day. The 40km drive to destination is about one hour from... More
