A great walk

A great walk if you have a good guide which we were lucky to have. Our guide was a great laugh and very engaging.

This was a good opportunity to see the island. The walk along the shore, was beutifull and the lush. Our guide described the area as we walked including a village and the vegetation. The waterfall was gorgeous and the swim very refreshing. If you like a fairly easy hike, I definitely recommend it.

We had a party of 6 and were led by a terrific guide -Simon. Simon talked and walked us through the 9 k walk stopping to show us specific plants, birds and tell us the history of the local villages and flora.

Beautiful walk along the coastline and up into the Jungle. The path is well maintained and easy to follow, around 4km in length. You don't need a guide (we hike a lot) but would really recommend taking one, as they know the local flora and fauna and were so knowledgable they really added to the experience - plus for only... Walk with your guide through the rainforest, then swim up the river to a beautiful pool with two waterfalls. Just magic.

We cycled to Lavenia and then did the 2 hour hike (each way at a slow pace), which is flat and a good path to the waterfall. What a special place this is. There is no road, and for the less fit you can go by boat to it. We swam in the falls, and jumped off the rocks. What... More

We didn't do the walk as my friend had a previous ankle injury, however, after hiring a car, and literally driving to the end of the road which ends in the village of Lavena, we we welcomed with hot tea and pancakes, and then an excellent boat trip around to one of the waterfalls. Very entertaining, fun and spectacular! Lovely... More

It was a rainy day when we went to see the waterfalls but even though it was raining it was still worth while doing the walk which runs along the coast before heading inland. It is a easy walk and anyone of any fitness could do it if in no hurry. A definite place to visit.

It is a long bumpy road to Lavena but worth it to do this lovely coastal walk. The track is well marked so you don't need a guide. You pass a village along the way. The track is mainly in the shade but bring a hat as well. It was so nice to see the coastal forest and the ocean.... More
