This public beach costs EL40 for a sunbed for the day. The staff are very friendly and helpful, it's a wonderful sun-trap, and you can snorkel for hours in the shallow water of the reef flat, and see hundreds of beautiful fish.

On my fourth trip to sharm , three of which specifically designed to encompass snorkeling at El fanar I was more than a little disappointed this year to visit the private beach. Now please don't get me wrong this place has perfect access to the most amazing snorkeling I believe in sharm and indeed we left our all inclusive hotel... More

Absolutely beautiful setting, whether you are just stopping for a drink or spending the day on the beach/reef. A must visit if you are staying in Hadaba.

I am not very fond of Sharm cafes and places to go out, but this one is pretty neat. First of all tHe Ras Um Sid Reef is great. It's home for a lot of marine life. I especially loved the night dive here. The beach is not bad either. Quite calm. Quite small. In the evening it's a nice... More

Have a look at this short video that will show you the beach and restaurant area : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ncnye6cgoU Always relaxing music playing throughout the day, extremely friendly staff that take care of the beach, the bar... Have visited this beach many many times during our years going to Sharm. The beach is still 60LE per person to gain entry and this includes a towel. They no longer give you a free bottle of water but we are prepared to pay for what we find one of the best reefs for snorkelling in Hadaba. What is not... More

I have been visiting El Fanar on yearly basis and always single, last week I was denied entry because I was "single", for some reasons the " management" came up with a new policy, that only couples i.e. man and woman can gain access to the beach. What a turn off, what a shame!
