Visited El Fanar many times over the years but apart from the superb snorkelling, the beach facilities have gone down hill. Entry price is 60LE per person and in the past this has included a bottle of water each, a fluffy towel and sometimes a skewer of fruit. Now there is no bottle of water and the towels are tatty... Seriously this was the nicest beach we've visited all the times we've visited Egypt (5 yrs on the run) yeh we've been to plenty of beaches, but this one wins by a mile!!! We spent all day here & our time still wasn't enough. Well done guys and we'll be back soon i promise!!!

Lovely setting in Hadaba, overlooking Ras Mohamed dive sights. The view was the best thing about this beach. When we arrived we had a charge of 60LE each, this included a towel and bottle of water. Since getting there at around 10:30am we had our choice of sun beds, reserving a couple in the shade and in the sun! The... More

Fantastic beach if you want a break from your hotel. Amazing snorkeling and good restaurant with great food and drinks avaliable. Toilets could do with some care and attention but are ok. You pay 60 egyptian to get in but includes towel and bottle of water. It borders the ras mohamed national park and the views out to sea and... More

Went snorkelling and diving here it was a superb location for both activities. The ever friendly staff at the bar could not do enough to help bringing drinks snacks etc to you even on your sun bed

Have visited Fanar a number of times and it is our favourite Beach 60LE entrance with a towel and bottle of water. Get there early for a good spot with a great view. The food is very good we had lunch a few times. The views are stunning as ever, the reef is still fantastic and it is good that... More

Beach access with sunbed and shade: 40 £Egyptian per person. The waters were crystal clear. A short swim to the drop-off where there was a lovely coral wall with shoals of reef fish. Also a popular dive site but the snorkelling looks more colourful. Cold drinks, beers and crisps available on the beach. The beach boy happily climbed the steps... More

Its worth every penny of the 60EGP entrance fee, for that you get a fluffly fresh towel, a sunbed and a bottle of water. There are clean toilets and a lovely resaurant who will serve you drinks and food at your sunbed by the sea! The reef is awsome and we saw dolphins on each of our 2 visits. The dive... More

Tried other beaches but you just can't beat this beach for snorkelling. Even though parts of the reef have died off there is still plenty growing and an abundance of fish. Staff on the beach are more proactive now at last at trying to stop people standing on the reef. Still plenty of idiots that still think it's ok....it's NOT... More
