Just like any Egyptian Souk, everyone is trying to get their peice of your cash. No problem looking but do not get suckered into going into shops that you do not want anything from

Truly world class, dived this reef twice on drift dives and to be honest it was the pinnacle of my diving experience in the Red Sea. The reef is simply breath taking and teeming with aquatic life.

Had a great drift dive at Ras Umm Sid. The highlight of this dive was spotting a turtle eTing coral. He allowed us to swim rut up to him and observe him close up for quite some time

Incredible Gorgonian fan corals falling away into the depths. Visibility is normally really good up to 50m + really interesting mix of hard and soft corals also.

Brilliant location to either snorkel or dive, I never tire of this site! For shore based snorkelling with a great Italian restaurant I would recommend El Fanar

It is a good spot for snorkling and diving. If you haven't been diving a lot in the red sea, then you'll just love it. Probably one of the top spots from shore. If you want better, you'll have to go somewhere by boat. If you're lucky, you'll see big stuff in the water. I saw an Eagle ray when... More
