A long day but worth every penny. Excellent guides and a total contrast to Sharm. Travelco (used by Thomsons) are the operator and have everything covered to make the trip as hassle-free as possible. Remember..DON'T loose your boarding card tho..

You could probably spend a week or more in Luxor, but this day trip was a good introduction and covered the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hasheput's (excuse the spelling), Karnak and Luxor temple.

This was a really good trip to the Valley of the Kings where you chose 3 tombs to go in to and we paid an extra £100 egyptian pount (about £10 english) to visit Tutankahmuns Mummy. We also went to the Karnak temple, Luxor Temple and Hatshepsuts temple. These were all very interesting but by the time you get to... More

We recently visited Luxor from our holiday in Sharm, it was a really short flight of 35 minutes, so by the time you're up, you're descending again. I've also visited Cairo to see the Pyramids and Sphinx and a comparison wouldn't be fair as both are amazing and you cannot describe in words the feeling you get when you're walking... More

Visited the Valley of the Kings and saw some amazing sights the ruins are remarkably in good condition. We had a private guide which allowed us to focus on aspects of the ruins that fascinated us. We visited several ruin sights and the only down side was the intense heat as trip was slated foe just after midday ...perhaps an... More

Please consider travelling to Luxor while you are in Egypt, the guide - Hatem - was brilliant and very knowledgeable. The city is beautiful and fascinating with all the tombs and temples and the boat trip on the Nile was very relaxing. Luxor has lost visitors in recent years which is very sad to see but we felt perfectly safe... More
