Trekked out in the dessert on Quad bikes. Rode camels then returned to quad bikes. Rode these to a Beduin camp. Here we were given soft drinks and saw a show followed by star gazing. The quad bikes were a bit tame with lack of excitement. The show was poor. It was supposed to be an African show but the... More

This was a highlight. Th desert air is dry and with the great telescopes on offer, Venus, Sirius, Jupiter and the moons of Jupiter (3 of 67) were visible and sharp. The food was local and good. Bring some cash with you - it helps. 10L here and there (about a £1) helps.

Long journey to camp, entertainment was poor, long periods of time doing nothing. Ten years ago genuine, now Beduine or just commercial?

We went star gazing and we were picked up 2.30pm from our hotel. Took a long time to get set up but once on way was fun. They do try and get you to buy pictures and videos and goggles and scarf. Quad bikes are easy to ride. We stopped and should have gone on camel but we decided not... More

Hot & Dusty but worth the money, you travel through the Sinai desert on quad bikes, rest up twice at Bedouin camps for a drink, toilet etc. Be aware of the camel ride, it was brilliant up until some German loudmouth decided he would play his club music very loud, which frightened my camel and threw me off (only ended...
