After multiple trips to Egypt this is still the place that sticks out in my mind... It is absolutely the most fantastic site and I recommend visit Abu Simbel to anyone that will listen... It's out of the way, you have to pay extra for the tour and it takes a while to get there but I would have paid... More

We visited this following a cruise on Lake Nasser - The cruise finished at Abu Simbel – approaching these from the lake gives a true impression of just how impressive these would have been some 4,000+ plus years ago – emphasising the message from Ramses of just how great he was and in total control of the area!
