Its a long hike along a paved road and some scorchingly dry brushland to Tortuga Bay. Bring plenty of water with you. A bonus is you might see some wildlife on the way... finches and mocking birds are guaranteed but we also saw a Galapagos Striped snake. The Galapagos Beach has so much pure white sand you think it was powdered sugar (yeah...get your mind out of the trash...you thought I was going to say some other powdered drug substance). There are few places in the world that are better in person than in the pictures...Galapagos Islands are one of the destinations. The underwater variety sea life... More

The walk was really nice, 30-45 minutes. My only suggestion is to bring plenty of water and walk at mid-day. The trail is paved and there isn't too much up and down. The first beach you come to is the surfing beach but if you continue to walk to the right you will get to a super calm, child-friendly bay.... More

Very much enjoyed the walk from the edge of town down to the beach. It took about half and hour and there was partial shade most of the way. The beach has fine white sand and is very pretty. White sand, blue sky, blue water, wildlife, nature! This is what I imagen paradise must be like! I totally recomend everyone who has the chance to go to Galapgos Islands to visit this amazing place! My wife and I enjoyed it very much! Definetly woth while! More

What a fantastic place it is well worth the couple of Ks walk through the plant life on a well made and maintained paved path the beach is long wide and white sand go to the far right hand end of the baech and you can swim there. More

After walking 2.5 km we arived at the beach and was 25-30 marine Iguana's walking on the beach. We were told they were heading to a mating beach about 1.5 km away. More
