Great first dive experience

The staff at Academy Bay was great. This was my first dive ever and they took great care of myself and others that it was their first time. Oscar and the staff was superb. The day... read more

The staff at Academy Bay was great. This was my first dive ever and they took great care of myself and others that it was their first time. Oscar and the staff was superb. The day went smoothly even with my friend getting stung by a jellyfish. Prices and video are included in the trip but make sure to bring... More

From start to finish academy bay was a professional and well organised diving outfit . Nothing was too much trouble and they aimed to please everyone on our large party of 22. Not easy considering different skill levels of so many people. Wouldn't hesitate to use again if I'm lucky enough to return to the galapagos islands.

We had a bad experience with Academy Bay diving. We planned months in advance to specifically dive in two of the best locations off Santa Cruz (North Seymour and Daphne) and we contacted several dive agencies. Academy Bay confirmed that they were doing those dives on the day we wanted. On the day of the dives when we were already... More

Academy Bay organised our dive trip to the Galapagos and they did a fantastic job!! We were a large group of 22 and as such we had to be split between numerous dive centres on three islands (all organised by Alice at Academy Bay) She sent Grace an employee to San Cristobal to make certain everything was ok with the... I went one day with them in Floreana and all was perfect. The team is really nice and professional, the material is good. Photos and videos are included in the price.

We went with Academy Bay for a total of 6 dives all over Galapagos. We've had some dive experience before so in comparison I thought Academy Bay guides were extremely accommodating on helping us with the gear, giving clear dive plans and letting us know what to do in case of an incident. The shop takes feedback very seriously; we... More

The diving was amazing. Academy made everything perfect. The boat was well organized, staff were very knowledgeable and spoke really good English. The equipment was in really good condition.

We fell into this tour operator on the main street while looking for a last-minute activity during a short stay on Santa Cruz. The owner was able to arrange a visit to the turtle reserve (I think it's called El Chato?), and also arranged our ferry to and from Isla Isabela a few days later, including a last-minute change when... On our second dive my wife had to surface with a problem after only about 10 minutes. The Dive Master was signaled but he did not surface and my wife came up about 50 yards from the boat. Despite her attempts to be seen, the Captain was not watching for divers and my wife continued to drift. The current at... More

We would like to once again apologise for this incident, and thank you wife for following the correct proceedure of inflating her BCD and waiting patiently for the boat to pick her up. This incident is not something that happens frequently, but due to the strong currents in Galapagos, and espcially at Gordon Rocks, it is a possibility that divers... More

Recently returned from a short trip to Galapagos. But what a trip it was. Made my reservations October 2014 by internet. Was searching for a while to find a descent operator who could arrange a few dives and island trips. I quickly came across the website of "Academy Bay Diving". Their website offers a lot of information concerning divetrips and... More
