We saw kicker rock on our cruise itinerary with Ecoventura. We read a lot of reviews about the great variety of wildlife if you dive or snorkel at Kicker Rock. Even though we didn't have that option with our cruise - I would still highly suggest going to Kicker Rock to watch the sun set and making sure it is... More

Chalo tours gave a good service, dive guide gave a good briefing but first dive was at Cerro Brujo and that was a disappointment. Nothing to see there, not even a sea lion in the water. OK for unexpierenced divers. Kicker Rock was good. Not good visibility + thermocline in the water. But impressive dive site, above and under water.... More

Be sure when you book your tour for Leon Dormido that you get a tour that includes a trip to the beach. While the clarity of the water was not the best, swimming in between the big rocks was really cool. The water was more clear in between the big rocks than on the perimeter. We did see hammer heads,... More

The Kicker Rock is quite a sight from San Cristobal Island. We saw it while on the island and confronted with it when we board our catamaran cruise ship for the 3 nights four days cruise from there to Santa Cruz Island. For added excitement we tried snorkel between the Kicker Rock for a brief moment however the current was... More

The rock formation is intimidating and the richness of the (fairly cold) water is unbelievable. We snorkelled before we did the dive and I guess that is a perfect way to enjoy both the surface and the deeper parts.

The "sleeping lion" is a great place for snorkeling or scuba diving. You get a close view of everything from sharks (not large enough to worry about) to sea lions to sting rays to turtles. The visibility is not "Caribbean quality" but is good enough to see well into the depths. More shallow snorkeling is available at nearby beaches, where... More

Nice location, but water was pretty churned up for snorkeling. The divers were very enthused. Nearby beach, was beautiful, but be prepared for biting flies.
