Maybe not a place for those who cringed when watching jaws. There are a lot of sharks there. Don't worry, they won't disturb you as long as you don't disturb them. I was really hoping they would be hammerheads but unfortunately there were none around on the day that we were there. Instead there were hundreds of white tipped reef... More

We took this trip to Kicker Rock and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were picked up at our Lodge and taken to the boat. We traveled about 1 1/2 hours to Kicker Rock and snorkeled about 1 hour. The water was rough however, but we still saw seahorses, sharks, seals and turtles. The sight of this gigantic rock rising straight out... More

We went diving here twice and while we enjoyed seeing the fish and a lone turtle we were sad not to see more as we had been hoping for some sharks and more turtles. Particularly as well, our snorkelling friends experienced more turtles and sea lions, it was a nice day out but I would suggest if there is poor... More

Long trip to the rocks. One of our bot's engine broke on the way back. Snorkling around the rocks is nice, but water is usually murky, cannot see too much below. the trip was combined with one hour on a beach. I don't think it is worth it $80.

We're on a budget trip - shore based instead of cruise. Did two dives there while the rest of the family snorkeled. Outstanding dives they were. LOTS of sharks, turtles, and every other kind of imaginable sea life. The 55min seemed like 20! Be advised that your experience will vary by dive operation, so do your homework. I've heard crowding... More

If you like snorkelling, you can't miss this. You will see sharks, manta rays and all the fish you can imagine. The water is very cold so you will need to wear a wetsuit!!! Do it.

This is a massive rock formation, and a great site to snorkel. Definitely need wetsuit in case you are wondering! Plenty of marine life to enjoy.

Loved it, saw hammerheads along with the regular Galapagos marine life. Like most volcanic areas, not a lot of coral / colour. Take the tour that does 2 dives at Kicker, don't waste your time on the shore dive. Kicker has 2 spots to dive including a cave when the weather permits it. I took the shore dive / kicker... More

I went on a day snorkeling trip out to Kicker Rock. While the tour was fine, the snorkeling was a bit poor. The water was murky and we only saw a few animals--one shark, a tortoise, and fish, of course. I found the snorkeling off San Cristobal to be much better and FREE! If you want a day trip to... More

I was snorkeling at Kicker Rock a few weeks ago and was swimming with big stingrays and sharks (peaceful), saw octopus, swam through huge schools of fish with thousands of fish moving like a magic wall that gives way with my every move. There were many different colorful and unusual species of fish. Kicker Rock itself is an underwater botanical... More
