Kicker Rock was a major highlight for our trip to the Galapagos. The day we were there the water was fairly clear at the top 20 foot level, with a slight chop. At greater depths, the water had less visibility. Swam with white tip sharks, sea turtles, colorful fish, but the best was a pair of eagle rays, who appeared... More

Very nice day of snorkeling, beach and a lot of pictures. We see turtles, small sharks, rays, and small fish in no so transparent waters. In a small beach on the way to Kicker Rock, we get to see Sea Iguanas, Great bleu herons, Pelicans, and others birds.

Based on all the great reviews, we had higher expectations. The water was pretty rough and the visibility was just so so. We saw fish, a distant shark (looked like just a shadow because of he visibility was so poor) and a sea turtle. The best part was the beach we stopped at on the way back from kicker rock.... More

The water was deeper and colder, so most, but not all wore wetsuits. We snorkeled and immediately I saw a giant sea turtle. Our guide said he usually sees sharks there. We saw big schools of colorful fish. It was also pretty from the boat, but no use going unless you snorkel or dive.

Book a tour or gather a few people that might be interested and just go do it. Undescribable feeling, even my 8 year old son did it with a scuba mask, he cried when we had to go back to the island.

I'm not the biggest fan on snorkeling but I absolutely loved Kicker Rock (Leon Dormido). I went there a few times with friends and even going and just staying on the boat is worth it. It is quite a lovely spot and the water is relatively calm there. I will warn you I was stung by a jellyfish there but... More

There were many many sharks, a group of 3 eagle rays, turtles, cristal clear water, amazing steep rocks. When you swim in between the 2 giant rocks, it's just magical, an athmosphere that cannot be described in words... amazing, frightening, endless deep see beneath you. The best snorkeling trip we had on the Galapagos islands.

We visited Kicker Rock in February 2015 from our cruise on the simply wonderful "Beagle". The excitement was racked up even further because we sighted Bridie's Whales here too. This is a deep water dive and the currents are fairly swift, so make sure that you try out all your kit to ensure a good fit well beforehand - as... More

We were a little nervous about going to kicker Rock as we are not the best of swimmers, but boy we are so glad we went snorkeling now. We were well looked after by the tour guide and with safety vests on took the plunge and it was the most fantastic experience. We saw Manta rays, white tipped sharks, hammerhead... More

With over a thousand ocean dives I was awed over the marine life with so many Galapagos sharks, hammerhead sharks, eagle rays, sea lions and fish.
