You can walk to this location -- near the airport and town. Snorkeled and saw many fish and turtles. Plus a great place to take photos of sea lions. Only caution -- at sunset, many mosquitoes and horseflies, so bring long sleeved shirt if you stay for sunset. Taxi ride is only about $1 USD each way if you don't... More

The Galapagos is expensive so this was a great alternative! Take a taxi from town (about $3), bring your snorkeling gear and away you go! Clear water and a lovely quiet beach! The snorkeling was great, seals, turtles loads of fish and good visibility. The bonus is on the way in there are loads of iguanas! A good cheap day... More

Take taxi then a short walk. Beautiful beach, protected bay for swimming and snorkeling. Swam with two sea turtles, hundreds of fish. Seals up on the lava rocks which protect this bay. Baby seal a few feet from shore, jumping, swimming and having a great time in the water! Hundreds of fish. Just put on your mask, flippers and push... More

This is a wonderful beach for seeing sea lions. They are all over the place. The young ones are so curious. There were pelicans and sally light footed crabs too!! I didn't realize how special this place was because it was one of the first places we visited in the Galapagos. I thought wow they must all be like this,... More

A sandy trail along the rocky and sandy beach with sea lions and marine iguanas. Worth a visit when you're in San Cristobal.

Tons of lobos marinos and quite near to the city. Above all don't forget your snorkling kit! I think it's a MUST if you like snorkling

This place is great for a (free) snorkeling trip! Rent some equipment in town and male sure that you are at Las Loberias in the morning (with low tide). Marine Iguanas, sea lions, sea turtles, sharks... They are all here in the water if you're lucky. Great place to relax as well, highly recommended!

We walked from town to the main beach (about half an hour slow walking.) There were lots of seals, pelicans and marine iguanas lounging on the main beach. At the far end of the beach there is a path marked with black and white posts which takes you along the volcanic cliff edge where there were lots of nesting seabirds.... More
