Overrated beach. Not much going on there anymore. Perhaps in the past. If you do go .. make sure you go when the crowds don't (early in morning). Playa Carola much better and less crowded

Great snorkeling spot. We saw sea turtles, sea lions, marine iguanas, and lots of fish. All this from a public beach. You can walk or take a cab. We walked from town. Follow the road out past the airport. When you reach the water, turn left and walk until you see the beach area that is sheltered from the waves.

Probably a great place. The wind was blowing very hard and the surf was huge and disorganized. Nice secluded beach, just the wrong time for us.

La Loberia is just outside San Cristobal--the taxi is $6 round trip, pay for the trip when the taxi RETURNS for you to take you back to town. The beach is a short walk from the road, on a sandy trail interspersed with giant black iguanas. Seals lounge on the soft white sandy beach and on the black rocks around... More

La Loberia is a beach located 10 min away in car from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno main town from San Cristobal Island. To enter the beach you have a 15 minute trail walk. Then you have a beach 1 to 2 km long. Here you can do snorkeling and swim with sea lions around. Snorkeling you can see starfish, stingray, sea... More

Snorkelling with penguins..omg..white tipped sharks, sealions, rays...up there, nearly, with Leon Dormido. Our visibility on the day was not as clear as our day at Kicker rock.

Fantastic place , right at the waters edge with all the sealions interacting. It was awesome. we visited on our way to the Marquesas in 2004.

Nice area to do some snorkling without big crowds. Plenty of fish & sea lions, some rays and even a turtle. The water is warm and crystal clear. Some of the fish like to nibble on your feet if you happen to be standing amongst the rockery. Take a quick taxi ride for a few dollars out there and a... More

We went at the wrong time of day. We saw no wildlife and the snorkeling was not good because of all the rocks. Of course we didn't know that it was low tide and had we gone at high tide we would have had a much better experience. A short taxi ride and $3.00.

You can walk to this location -- near the airport and town. Snorkeled and saw many fish and turtles. Plus a great place to take photos of sea lions. Only caution -- at sunset, many mosquitoes and horseflies, so bring long sleeved shirt if you stay for sunset. Taxi ride is only about $1 USD each way if you don't... More
