The beach is shared between relaxing tourists and sea lions alike. It's not very crowded, and it's the perfect place to do snorkeling, as baby sea lions will try to play with you once you have a snorkeling kit on. We also had the chance to swim with a few giant turtles, and observe lots of very colorful fishes!

We loved the experience to swim with the sea lions, the beach is very nice and you can see turtles, some fish and a lot of playful sea lions.

It's a nice place to snorkel with sea turtles and sea lions. The water is very clear. We spotted two sea turtles and there were about 10 sea lions. There are a lot of rocks on the bed of the beach and the currents are very high making it a little rough to swim.

Overrated beach. Not much going on there anymore. Perhaps in the past. If you do go .. make sure you go when the crowds don't (early in morning). Playa Carola much better and less crowded

Great snorkeling spot. We saw sea turtles, sea lions, marine iguanas, and lots of fish. All this from a public beach. You can walk or take a cab. We walked from town. Follow the road out past the airport. When you reach the water, turn left and walk until you see the beach area that is sheltered from the waves.

Probably a great place. The wind was blowing very hard and the surf was huge and disorganized. Nice secluded beach, just the wrong time for us.

La Loberia is just outside San Cristobal--the taxi is $6 round trip, pay for the trip when the taxi RETURNS for you to take you back to town. The beach is a short walk from the road, on a sandy trail interspersed with giant black iguanas. Seals lounge on the soft white sandy beach and on the black rocks around... More

La Loberia is a beach located 10 min away in car from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno main town from San Cristobal Island. To enter the beach you have a 15 minute trail walk. Then you have a beach 1 to 2 km long. Here you can do snorkeling and swim with sea lions around. Snorkeling you can see starfish, stingray, sea... More

Snorkelling with penguins..omg..white tipped sharks, sealions, rays...up there, nearly, with Leon Dormido. Our visibility on the day was not as clear as our day at Kicker rock.
