We took a taxi to Las Loberias and when we arrived, we had the whole beach to ourselves. I say that, but we shared it with the seals. We snorkeled with seals that were playful and stayed with us as long as we stayed in the water. We took the hike to the left of the beach all the way... More

This is a great place to snorkel although the water was quite choppy and cold when we went so may not be the best for those not confident in the water. The sea lions were mostly sitting on the beach when we snorkelled so we only saw a few swimming around, but the few were definitely an amazing experience as... More

when they told me I could see the marine tortoises I thought it was just the kind of things you say so someone goes to this beach. But it was so true! it just took 10 minutes of snorkel and I saw the first one :) the sea lions sleep, and play and swim. Always close to you! the beach... More

Lots of locals at this beach. A few sea lions. Difficult to snorkel for kids due to surge - maybe different times of year it's better. Did see three turtles and a bunch of stingray while snorkeling though. Keep walking past the beach and continue along the faint path for 30+min: Lots of marine iguanas in the rocks, beautiful volcanic... More

I'm not a beach person but I went here 3 times in 4 days. The marine life is amazing. Mask, snorkel and fins are a must. Around the edges of this bay there are many different fish species swimming in the lava. In June when I was there, there were 7-10 sea turtles in the middle of the bay just... More

Go for the snorkeling, and be amazed at what you find. Go to see Darwin Finches land on your feet as you soak up the sun. Hike up from the beach and check out the marine iguanas lounging on the rocks, and go a bit further to see all the birds of the island--including the blue footed booby. A great... More

I went for snorkel at this beach and wow so much fun, just a few feet from the beach we encounter sea turtles and played with a small sea lion that was hanging out in the area. Very friendly animals, yet a bit scary when they get very close and bump in to you. Incredible place, a must see while... More

Snorkeling with sea lions and turtels in the late afternoon when more sea lions enter the water. Also nice views on the beach and the sundown.

Just a $3 taxi ride from town I would highly recommend that you pop over to this beach if you can. The surf was impressive and there was plenty of animal life such as sea lions, marine iguanas, herons, boobies etc.

We visited this beach 3 times and loved it!! The first time we went for a walk beyond the beach (about a 40 min. walk). It was a marked path. As you went along, you could see the beautiful sea as the waves came in. Alot of marine iguanas, many birds by the cliffs and a spactular view at the... More
