We were expecting so much more being on the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk but the Showboat didn't live up to our expectations. There was no free wifi in our rooms (they wanted charge us extra), the food was overpriced and so were the drinks. The Mardi Gras decor was okay but dated. I had always wanted to come to Atlantic... Customer Service was unpleasant. They were unwilling to accommodate us with a pleasant room. Our room smelled like smoke.

A run-down boring venue it has been allowed to deteriorate. Caesars Entertainment says that their door close permanently in August.

Always been one of my favorite casinos. Machines seem to pay out for me there, but this time they felt pretty tight. Don't know if it has anything to do with the casino closing or not since it was as busy as it usually is. Staff was pleasant as always, but couldn't find anyone for drinks. Seemed like the machine... Finally Caesars Ent. group announced the closing of this place. It has been in great decline for the past year or so. Seemed like they knew it was being put out to pasture back then because alot of the restaraunts had closed and they reduced the number of slot machines as well. The rooms seemed very unclean last time I... More

Brought family from England for a 2 night stay. Check in line was long with only two on the desk but 3 more arrived to speed it up. Carpets in hallways were full of stains and the smell was not very pleasant. We had adjoining rooms and the carpets in both were filthy, badly stained and sticky, one room had... More

We stayed at Showboat last week with our three children because we can't beat the rates to be right on the boardwalk/beach which is where we spent most of our time. The weather was beautiful, the beaches were clean, the water was clear, and the kids and my husband had a blast building sandcastles and riding their boogie boards. We... More

The casino wasnt very crowded. I was on a mobile scooter and had plenty of room to move around and play just as if I was on foot.

We liked the Showboat casino although it was somewhat small, they had various table games @ $5 and up which was nice.
