Good place to walk off all of the buffet-weight from the casinos nearby. Also to get good ol cheap touristy souvenirs and taffy. Strangely, a lot of massage/foot rub places too. Came in January but I'd much rather come in July or August. Place gotta be bumpin then!

I grew up near the jersey shore, so I take the boardwalk for granted, but if you have never been there, you owe it to yourself to go. It is a different place these days and you have to be aware of people who are focused on separating you from your money. Definitely do not walk under the boardwalk, and... More

Walking the Boardwalk in Atlantic City is a tradition that goes back well into my very tender youth when my family first came here for vacation at the Claridge in the pre-Casino days. Many would argue that with the downturn, AC has become glum. I might argue that Atlantic City has always been kind of glum...a funky place with sticky... More

Walk, run and bike the boardwalk often. Early for runs and biking, later in the day and night for walking. Shops-food lots of choices. We hit the beach bars in the warmer months too. Always feel safe and walk between the casinos late at night sometimes, never had a problem. The light show was very cool this year.

The Atlantic City boardwalk is exactly what you would see in movies; a fancy wooden boardwalk lined with a variety of shops and a spectacular view of the ocean and beach. The boardwalk extends very far in both directions and is well worth a stroll and some pictures.

My favorite view is in the rear view mirror when I am speeding away. AC is a failed social experiment that placed high cost showy glitz on the Boardwalk, blocking the view at everyone else's expense. Its a depressing place two blocks west of the beach and no one is doing anything to improve long time residents' lot.

Very centrally located from any hotel on the strip except where we stayed, Harrah's. This is a great place to walk along the ocean, people-watch and buy saltwater taffy.

I thought this would be a nice experience.I had never been here. everyone talked about how nice it was. I knew that there had been damage to the boardwalk but this was a disaster. I went NOTHING was there. There were about 5-6 hotels open.Nothing going on. Even the seagulls had left. I had planned to spent the night. Not.... More
