Tired of every time you set outside of having guys ask you if you would like a ride. Bums asking for money. And worst of all, miles and miles of cheesie souvenir stuff for sale. Once is enough in my lifetime! The entertainment was watching ,"The People of WalMart" walk by.

The boardwalk had your typical souvenir and t-shirt shops, plus some fudge shops and pizza joints. It's pretty run down but you can walk for miles on the very nice boardwalk itself.

My husband and I went to the Revel in Atlantic city. The boardwalk is up and running . It was the same as always. We stay at the Revel . First time ever . It was an amazing casino but very very expensive. The staff was very friendly , rooms and pool very clean.

Always wanted to go to the boardwalk and check it out. Glad I did but seen how the boardwalk must have slipped over the years. The guys with the rolling chairs keep asking you to tame a ride, bums trying to hit you up for money, even seen a guy putting on his panhandling clothes out of the back of... More

The Atlantic City Boardwalk is a long wide boardwalk that goes for miles along the Atlantic Ocean. The Casinos and shops and restaurants range from lower level to top of the line facilities. Some areas are seedier than others, but I still like visiting. I enjoy walking for miles, watching people, the ocean and many shops along the way. The... More

Historic walk along the Atlantic Ocean. Having lived nearby in the 50's when we would hitch-hike to AC and get a slice of pie, play ski-ball, eat salt water taffy and watch the Diving Horse on Steel pier after dips in the ocean was a trip down memory lane---you can never go back and things have changed on the Boardwalk... As Atlantic City continues its slide into obscurity and irrelevance, the boardwalk remains as a monument to when this town mattered. 7 miles of a broad, very walkable link between the looming hulks of old casinos that no longer attract anyone with money, bordered by the beautiful dunes and ocean that can not be made irrelevant. Be warned: this can... More

So since the days of Nucky Johnon AC has attracted the elite and dregs of society. Been going there 50 years and the place may never change. It is wealth and excess matched against the poor and unfortunate of society. Still lacks class as a resort town,

What was once an American icon has fallen on hard times and it is starting to show. The link between the beach and Marina has been damaged and closed for years, but after Sandy, it no longer even exists. There is a condo on the curve (101 Boardwalk?), which looked to once be an asset, has since fallen into receivership... More
