After watching the tv series Boardwalk Empire it was super cool to check out Atlantic City and walk the Boardwalk. Many great things in the area for all people. Although a very dated place and some areas rundown it is still a great place to check out. Casinos, restaurants, bars, and much more. The beach is right there and ocean... More

Every morning we got up and walked 4-5 miles on the boardwalk and got some great exercise. There were not that many homeless peddlers but there were a few. The stores are silly and I can't imagine how they stay in business. Really nice place to exercise or just stroll for the day.

Spent a number of hours walking this famous boardwalk. All sorts of shops and eating places as well as casinos to go into along the way. Loved seeing the pushcarts that visitors paid money to get a ride. Many more panhandlers than I would have thought all along the boardwalk. It was a very interesting walk however.

variety is the spice of life and from very casual to upper crust, the casinos offer whatever you are hankering for. Unfortunately with the closings, there is an absence of the excitement you do get in Vegas, but when it is so close, it is worth a quick tip - just to see Miss America contestants.

I like to walk and the 99cent stores have really good deals, and there are many reasonably priced options for eating or just coffee.

been here a couple of times, but must say that it's beautiful ... lots of peace if there were less tourists around!

I think the Atlantic City Boardwalk is just lovely - at anytime of the day. I was there for a week to see the Miss America pageant in 2013 and 2014. I loved early morning walks on the Boardwalk with a cup of coffee, afternoons strolling along and enjoying the shops and people-watching, and in the evenings - when the... More

If you're there on a nice day, it's just a good place to stroll up and down and look at shops and the beach. It's a bit Disney-land ish in some place and at night the part where the casinos have closed is dark and sad. I would recommend it as something to see if you've never been to AC... More

I've visited Atlantic City since 1991. I'd come once or twice a year. My parents, rest their souls, loved the Showboat hotel and casino. It's closed now and it's hard for me to see the empty shell where so much life happened. My favorite hotel and casino was the Atlantic Club (the former Hilton) at the opposite end of the... More
