The Boardwalk could be a great place for cool shops, more friendly and inviting stands, with the foot traffic it should be able to sustain better. Instead, there are a few gems scattered amongst the worn and tacky. Food Items include Hard Rock Cafe, Rain Forest Grill, Johnny Rockets, Maragritaville, Land Shark Grill (all with a 1.5 to 2 hr.... The AC boardwalk was very clean and pleasant to walk along during the day, not sure how safe it would be a night as the whole area looked very down market. NJ county need to invest in this area to attract more tourists

The boardwalk and many of the shops along it have been updated. It's too bad the very northern end (past the Revel) was destroyed by Sandy. There are working plans to have it rebuilt. Walking south you can see all the beach casinos and continue into the town of Ventnor City. It's is a lovely walk. The Garden Pier (across... More

The boardwalk is an interesting place. Walked it each morning of our stay and have to say it was disappointing to see how poorly it was maintained. From the Revel to the end, in the morning's it smells of dampness, beer and a host of other unpleasant smells. The various shops and casinos do a poor job of cleaning up... More

The boardwalk and beach are very underrated. The great news is the beach is free. We saw lots of young families strolling on the boardwalk. I wouldn't say Atlantic City is the most upscale place to visit on the Jersey Shore, but it is interesting; the boardwalk is nice to stroll on and the beach is expansive. We were pleasantly... More

A fantastic place especially after sunset. You can walk all day long without getting bored. Different types of people wearing multi type of clothes. The place is lined with shops eateries and casinos. Lots of good shopping.

If you are from the UK you'd understand when I say it's like Blackpool. Old fashioned, tacky, loud, lots of people, guys staggering a little, the seaside and not forgetting the fortune teller. Seaside fun at its best. Loved Atlantic City (although someone did get robbed).
