Let me begin by saying that I write this out of love for a place that, for twelve summers in a row, provided me with one vacation week each year of pure fun, and the ultimate roadside Americana experience. My parents took me to Atlantic City every July, from the mid-60s to the mid-70s. I know that travelers to AC... more

My husband and I went to Atlantic City for our anniversary on July 23, 2009! We are used to visiting Vegas but thought this would be a new place to see! We stayed at Caesars, and our room was georgous! The casinos also have non-smoking floors which was a hugeplus for me! Besides it being extremely expensive ($17-$20 for a... more

If you grew up going to AC back in its' pre-Casino days then you'll find that some things will transport you in time, namely, The Mr. Peanut Sculpture at The Garden Pier and the two Steel's Fudge Shops on both the North and South sides of the Boardwalk (they've been there since 1919 and they'll ship anywhere!!!). Another great stop... more

We came home a day early because Atlantic City was such a disapointment. We used to love it there. It is a tourist trap now. Food used to be cheap... not anymore. We visited every casino and no one is winning a thing! You spend $100 and might win $20 if you are lucky. In the whole 3 days we... more

My wife and I do a lot of walking and we decided to walk the boardwalk one night when we were staying at the Resorts Casino. It has problems. To me, the standard for boardwalks in NJ is Wildwood, 30 miles south of Atlantic City. We were there on a Friday night in June and the weather was nice. The... more

The Atlantic City Boardwalk is over 4 miles long, 60' wide & the wood is laid in a herringbone pattern which is good for biking. It allows bicycles from the hours of 6am to 10am April through October & 6am to noon November through March. I suggest that if you get a decent day on your next visit, try renting... more

The boardwalk just makes it easy for you to get from one place to another, thats about it. The stores have very cheap touristy objects and really bad knockoff bags if thats even what you want to call them. It seems everyone on it at night is just having a good time walking to different casinos, but I would not... more

I've been going to AC for years now & I've learned "how" to love the boardwalk. There are a few simple rules to the boardwalk. First off, unless you are there during the peak of the summer, don't stroll the length of the boardwalk. The boardwalk is safest during the day during the summer, when it's really crowded with tourists.... more

First time at the Tropicana & Boardwalk. stayed four days, had a great time. No problems no worries. Everyone was mannerable, enjoying the beach & sun. Was out doing a lot of walking day & night-late night, no incidents. Just everyone seemed to be having a good time. Even rode the "Jitney" that was a trip! Everything was a bit... more

The Boardwalk in Atlantic City has many fun attractions. Yeah, Atlantic City has it's bad days, but don't we all? This is a place for fun and, having a chance to go to Atlantic City, shouldn't be your chance to complain. Don't look at the negatives, look at the positives. The Boardwalk is more good than bad when you look... more
