Tour the giant windmills in Atlantic City and see for yourself that wind power works. I have taken Rotary professionals from Italy and Nigeria to this guided tour with great effect.

The facility is interesting. The group had about 15 people. It is very kid friendly (the kids' enthusiasm was part of the fun). I was hoping to get better access to the windmills- no go. I am unclear why, but they had 2 tour guides, but the tour was basically held in a control room (it is like NASA in... More

Thanks for joining us for one of the summer open house tours! We appreciate your feedback will use it to tweak our next season of “open house” tours. We’ll be sure to include information about the wastewater/water testing lab, even if the size of the group (we’ve had close to 50 at a time!) prohibits walking through the working laboratory.... I accompanied a class trip to the facility and found it to be informative. The "guides" were very pleasant and willing to explain the workings of the ACUA.

We were a party of two so I don't believe it was as good as it would have been had it been a group. We learned a lot and the guide was very nice to take the time to tell about the Wind Farm. However, I expected a little more. However, worth a visit. Try to go on the group... More

The tour is essentially a guided walk around fueled by Q&A from the group. Individuals and couples would benefit from picking a time that would not bundle you in with a school group. We were with another 2 families and that worked out well. Definitely a pleasant diversion from the casino gig.

Atlantic County really has it together when it comes to renewable resourcing. It could be because of casino investments or wonderfully innovative pro-active managers but AC should be a model for the nation.
